@SDcomics, I get the frustration. In the last few months I've basically shut down my buying - cancelled almost all existing preorders (except MTO items), no new preorders, and almost entirely stopped any purchases. I've also started liquidating a huge chunk of things I'd been holding on to to raise cash, including a lot of GI Joe Classified items that will be too expensive to ever get back. For me, this is a response not to a loss of love for collecting but a cost of living shock. Rising prices across the board, skyrocketing healthcare, and my paycheck suddenly needing to cover most of our family expenses.
So, for me personally, I'm still enthusiastic about ML generally. But when the price ticks up - again - even though I don't blame Hasbro for the increased taxes that have been unilaterally imposed by the current government - it still grates. When a release is announced that I've been waiting for, but it comes packaged in some way that makes it more expensive than it needs to be - yeah, it does kind of suck. Truth be told, nothing they're doing here is different than what the line has always done (multipacks, BAFs, remakes/rereleases, etc) and what I assume it needs to do, on some level, to last as long as it has. And the BAF model, at least, seems to be on the wane. But when everything else in my life is getting squeezed, this one source of joy having various impediments can really set me off. I just want this *one thing* in life to be uncomplicated, easy, and fun.
Anyway, just sharing some thoughts and (hopefully) expressing some solidarity. I'm sure you know that if you decide to stick with it you'll find people here who will help you avoid Warbow at all costs and still get your Skurge piece!
