Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

Marvel Legends is my main line to collect. I dropped several other lines to keep collecting Marvel Legends. Marvel Legends sill brings me joy and other lines seems I was collecting to just collect them. I find it easy now to find Marvel Legends on Amazon. I just type in the search for Marvel Legends Series and the name of the figure. That was how I found the wave on Amazon. I do believe Logan should've came with bone claws and not adamantium claws. This is a WWII Logan so there wouldn't have been adamantium back then.
It was first mentioned in Marvel Comics in a story scripted by writer Roy Thomas and drawn by Barry Windsor-Smith and Syd Shores in The Avengers #66 (July 1969.

Previously it was mentioned that these claws are based in the handwraps which apparently he was given at some point in some retcon comic. I dunno if they're for scaling cliffs during D-Day or improvised ninja/Vega from Street Fighter weapons. I'd probably have preferred bone claws as well, but I'd think Logan would be fighting for Canada during WW2 and he's dressed like he's in Saving Private Ryan here.

Oh got it, didn't know that. Thanks. I will probably still try to switch out some bone claws I have extra in the bins.

Honestly, SD has probably now written the most about Warbow that Warbow has ever been written about, in the history of Warbow.

SD wishes he could just go back to forgetting that Warbow ever existed, SD was much happier then.

And listen, my ire is not because Hasbro is making Warbow. No, there have been a lot of Marvel Legends figures I've skipped over the years. My collection is a long, long way from complete. And I would very easily and happily skip this Warbow mort EXCEPT A) He's never been requested by anybody that I know of and he's part of a BAF wave to complete a very much long requested figure in Skurge and B) We can get Warbow but we can't get the Warriors Three because they cost too much and they're too obscure.

THAT is why I'm pissed about this Warbow thing. I hope everyone understands that. Go ahead and make Warbow if it makes the one guy on this planet Earth happy but then don't turn around and tell me no Balder because he's too niche. How many years have we been asking for characters like more Asgardians here? And for the love of Odin, don't force me to buy this stupid green thing to get a classic villain like Skurge. I am so sick and tired of playing that game.

SDCC is going to be interesting next year if the Hasbro guys are reading this. I don't know what they're going to make of it. But it may not make any difference. If I get out of the hobby I won't stop in their booth anyway. What would be the point?

So, I just preordered the 3 figures which I personally desire the most --Phantom Rider, Enchantress, and Werewolf by Night. I expect the other three should be readily available for the foreseeable future and probably even on sale. I think I also want Warbow but I decided to wait in case I need him to bring the total of any potential online order past the free shipping threshold.
I also think I want WW2 Logan but, I'm still not sure. I really wish he came with a BaF part instead of Iron Man.
Hopefully, I can secure the other two BaF pieces independently via the A/T trade forum before I acquiesce and pull the trigger on one or both.

If you happen to be one who wants either IM or 6-arm Spidey and doesn't give two hoots about Skurge/Executioner, hit a gorilla up!

Went ahead and preordered Warbow and while I want Werewolf and Enchantress, that $30 a piece price tag is tough to swallow. And those are for the figures I actually want. Coughing up another $90 for figures I don't want just for their BAF pieces is going to be even worse. Gonna bide my time and hopefully get some kind of a deal or find the pieces separate.

I ordered this Wave even though I don't need some of the figures. But I really want that Executioner. So, I got it pre ordered. Really the only 2 I don't need or want is Warbow and that particular Iron Man. But while I may not need that Iron Man, I think I'll keep it. It looks cool.

Well, I have no idea who they are so I'm betting they were in the Crystar comics.

Listen, there were a lot of great comics that came out in the 80's.

Crystar wasn't one of 'em.

I'm happy for the Crystar fans, though. All two of you.

I thought Crystar was going to he the new ROM or Micronauts... toy based comic that crosses over with the Marvel Universe - Nightcrawler was in an issue...

I’m going to steer clear of the whole Asgardian discussion because odds are good I’ll lose my shit along the line somewhere.
We can look to the Inhumans 2-packs for hope. The Inhumans seemed like a dead letter item for ML...riiight up until they weren't. Now, suddenly, we're getting these beautifully executed versions of the whole team - including lots of dedicated sculpts. If Lockjaw, Gorgon, and Triton can get this much love, it's not hard to imagine the same going towards Balder and the Warriors Three.

Plus, Asgardians are clearly on their mind - in the last few years we've gotten pretty incredible figures of Odin and the Destroyer, and now a hugely improved Enchantress and new Executioner. Mangog has been name dropped. Seems to me like Balder and the Warriors Three are not at all outside the realm of possibility, regardless of what they say!

I'm going to have to take a couple of days and think about it. If I decide to get rid of the collection, I'll let you guys know. It'll be yours for shipping cost.
I hope that if you decide to quit collecting, you keep the figures you love. Just because you're not buying new stuff, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the stuff you have.

Damn. Been out Friday night drinkin’ and ordered the wave when I got home (need to surrender my phone at the door).

Managed to get an order in at £131ish, so I reckon I can shift the unwanteds at less than face value
to still make it reasonable.
