MONDO 1/6 TMNT

Do the glasses / goggles come off? Otherwise there's basically one Donnie expression I actually like, and he's just going to look angry all the time. I dunno why everyone insists on him having to have outward "nerd" characteristics in recent years, and half the time now Raph has to have a do-rag.

At least they don't have braces like the Seth Rogen ones. Finding an optometrist in the sewer seems questionable enough without adding orthodontics to the equation.

Edit: As seen in the Mondo presentation panel it does look like the goggles/glasses are removable with various faces available to use them on, which is good.

Design looks fine, though that's much more IDW than keeping in the movie-verse. But, I don't know. No hate on it, but it's not grabbin' me too hard.

He really needs a cape with a movie vibe. This just doesn’t evoke that style at all.

These really do look phenomenal, but 1/6 is gonna kick my wallet up into my body cavity with Mondo's newer prices lately. I'd even forgo the MOTU 200X stuff for these instead if these were 1/12th. But I know this line will end up with me ordering at least 8 characters in total once 4 turtles, Splinter, Shredder & Bebop/Rocksteady are factored in. Too cool, but too much to ask from ones finances when I already collect too many turtle lines. Love that they seem to come with mousers tossed in so you'll get at least a couple of those. But I can already tell this line is gonna run deep with "too much good stuff" to borrow a phrase from AMPM.

(And I say this as being the same guy who basically blew $100 per on each of the MetyToyz TMNT figures from China, ay caramba! No Mas!)
Wait, they're out??

Passing on this one line is gonna hurt as I love how they look and the whole 90s concept Mondo is going for.

But I just know the price is going to be killer. Even just the 4 Turtles is gonna be a $1000-1200 commitment. You throw in Splinter, April, Casey, Shredder, Krang, Bebop & Rocksteady and that's just space and money I can't really justify.

Maybe Mondo will surprise us with the price but I doubt it. Gonna have to think about if I just go for the brothers or not.

I loved the humor of having Donne's fannie pack have the 90s green "Gecko" branding on it, but with "Mondo" on it as and homage to Mondo Gecko.

If it's any indicator, the price keeps many away, so while you may not be able to afford the exclusive version, there's likely to be a general release that'll stay pretty evergreen I'd imagine. Though I could be wrong, but Mondo's prices often keep things available for quite a long time.

My Two-Face came out to $300 right on the money after $65 of fees/taxes/tariffs, so while this comes with more stuff, I'd assume $315/$325?

Hopefully they give us some breathing room on Leo like after Christmas or such.

I don't understand the hesitancy with Mondo to tell us what stuff is going to cost lately. It's due to be preordered this week and we have no idea what it's going to cost. I saw a couple people commenting that it would be $150 but I think that's likely just sarcasm or general absurdity, but Mondo really needs to stop waiting til the last minute to tell us what something's going to cost until it's right upon us.
