MONDO 1/6 TMNT

Jeez, I love Leo and Don so much, wow. The heavily movie inspired heads are doing god's work here for me. And I like the crap glued onto these 2, too, fitting the characters so well. Not sure about Shredder yet, though.

There's a Pixel Dan walkthrough where Peter from Mondo explains to Dan that they're approaching these as if the 90s movies happened and Shredder returned again, but this time having met Krang with the resources of Dimension X, etc. Basically the movies but in the toon context, so with tech based in the 90s, that sort of thing.

I like Donnie, don’t care for Leo. He’s giving me Next Mutation vibes. No matter though as I have no room to start another sixth scale collection.

These really do look phenomenal, but 1/6 is gonna kick my wallet up into my body cavity with Mondo's newer prices lately. I'd even forgo the MOTU 200X stuff for these instead if these were 1/12th. But I know this line will end up with me ordering at least 8 characters in total once 4 turtles, Splinter, Shredder & Bebop/Rocksteady are factored in. Too cool, but too much to ask from ones finances when I already collect too many turtle lines. Love that they seem to come with mousers tossed in so you'll get at least a couple of those. But I can already tell this line is gonna run deep with "too much good stuff" to borrow a phrase from AMPM.

(And I say this as being the same guy who basically blew $100 per on each of the MetyToyz TMNT figures from China, ay caramba! No Mas!)

This is almost exactly where I'm at. I buy nothing else at this scale, have nowhere to put it, and christ does my wallet need to establish some kind of principle somewhere. THey're so rad, and I'm sure the non-movie characters are gonna be even moreso, but them not being 1/12 is like an arbitrary line I can draw behind which to say No More.

Plus I'm increasingly accepting that Mondo stuff is meant to be displayed like a statue/oversized doll. I don't know that you'll be getting wild ninja poses out of these without potential consequences down the line both in terms of wear and stability, in a perfect world though I'd be buying these.

Strongly fighting the intrusive thought of "well, just sell ALL your other Mondo's including your X-Men and buy these."

Honestly, they'll probably pose about as well as the NECA movie figures, which isn't saying much. For me, I think they look cool, but I have neither the room in my house or in my toy budget to add another 1/6 scale Mondo line. I'm committed to X-Men and that's enough. And yeah, the prices have gone nuts this year on them. They used to be around 200-220, but now if you want them from Mondo direct with all the extra stuff it's over 300 due to a price increase, tariff surcharge, and the removal of the free shipping option.

Those are beautiful and I love all the detail they're cramming into the doo-dads and costume details. However...no way am I going to get in on this line. The size and cost just doesn't pull me in. UNLESS they do a surprise Bebop and Rocksteady...I'll get those two.

They're almost certainly doing Bebop and Rocksteady eventually. They're already hinting at Krang and Metalhead with accessories, I think the plan is to bring the toon characters into their movie-inspired universe they're creating here.

Interesting tidbit from a video I watched: I guess the eyes are swap-able across the heads to either have pupils or not.

EDIT: Here's the video. They start with TMNT and have some little fun bits explaining different story/design choices for these:
