Mini Comic Wave 2

I don't have him yet, but I'm curious if some of the scale issue with DD is that it's not a human body under bulky fabric? Thick plastic to represent that scenario probably adds mass you're not expecting.

168-191 is basically the Elektra Saga and his run with Mazzuchelli is basically Born Again. Mazzuchelli is an amazing cartoonist (like one of the most significant cartoonists of our time ) and the Miller drawn stuff is before he went crazy and the alcohol tremors ruined his line.

Everyone getting theirs earlier and Walmart be pushing mine back to Jan 1. First Daredevil, then a few minutes later, Feral.

Yeah, to me he looks like a muscular guy in one of those baggy 80s sweatsuits that always added tons of bulk to everyone. Proportions make perfect sense to me.

The sweatsuit figure looks broader and thicker than every Daredevil figure we’ve gotten. It looks like a bigger guy is wearing the sweats, not someone the size of Murdock, more the size of Castle or Rogers.

He's just a little larger proportionally than I think of Matt when I put him with other figures. Like the figure itself is just scaled up vs most Legends dudes.

But otherwise he's great. Legends has been playing havoc with scale as a whole.

It looks like a boxer in big sweats and poses like a ninja (ab aside).

Mmmm I’d contend that every Daredevil figure we have gotten is far too skinny. He should never share a body with Spider-man. Castle or Rogers would, to me at least, look *much* bigger in those sweats.

The Daredevil I’ve read was drawn by Alex Maleev or Michael Lark or Chris Samnee or David Mack. That was not a beefy Daredevil, he was always more lithe, like an acrobat. So that’s what I picture. Maybe my mind will change once I read the story this sweatsuit figure is based on.

Fair enough. I’m a Gene Colan guy, of course.

Also: son of a boxer.

I see Matt’s physique more like a gymnast.

I generally think MLs are too thin and wiry in general. Real strength training, like guys like Matt would have to do, would make them bigger and thicker. Spidey and speedsters? OK, they can be skinnier. But street fighter guys? Nah. More muscle is needed.
