Marvel Legends Gamerverse

For Gamerverse PS5 Spider-Man - anyone have any good swaps for an unmasked head? I can't think of any that would match all that well and I'm not invested enough to buy a third party head (some of which do look great).

Are you looking for someone who looks like the in-game Peter or any head at all? Tom Holland heads will be easiest to find. The Renew Your Vows one is my favorite but it's not easy to get (the Kraven battle damage Peter is my favorite) but the animated Peter is pretty passable, and the retro Carded one I cut the glasses off of and if you don't mind the pegs from the glasses, that's a pretty good Pete too.

I'm wildly disappointed in the Maximum Spidey face for some reason. It just looks doofy to me.

This is from the people who made Shredder's Revenge, which is probably obvious to anyone who played that game, but to those who didn't, they make very good beat 'em ups.

PS: Did anyone notice how Psylocke's skin tone on the back of the box looks way more like the game than the figure does? Lol. If they gave her that tanned skin tone I'd be a lot more interested. I feel like this Psylocke misses the MvC2 mark by quite a bit.

Ugh I can already tell I’m going to be billed for endless doctor visits thanks to the arthritic flare ups I’ll be feeling in my hands and nerve endings radiating all the way to my thoracic spine. Button mashing games always do me in in the worst ways imaginable 🫩

I was lucky enough to get a set too. I was up and waiting and seemed to be checked out by 9:01 or 9:02 AM EST.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how quick the 2 packs pre orders sold out?

Man, I knew it would be quick. I had to leave though, so I just got online, ordered (and luckily got one), and headed out. So, I had no idea how quick it was. I really hate that this was the 2 pack that was Target exclusive. I feel like this was the coolest, most desired of all the Gamerverse 2 Packs. And even though I got in a pre-order, this is Target we're talking about lol.

I don't trust them until the item is in my hands.
 
I had a hard time finding the Psylocke vs Thanos set on Target’s app. Fortunately Preternia had a link.

This would be my first time shopping with them since they showed their true colors. I used to shop there weekly.
 
I don't know what "their true colors" are, but I do know I am there every other day, sometimes more. That's not an exaggeration. Not for toys (all the time) but for food. Food for my family, food for my mom, and then food for my family and my mom that I forgot to get the first time around. And then back again because I should have got cat litter but didn't.

I'm also in the St.Paul/Minneapolis area in which Target is headquarterd. There's a store within 20 minutes from me in all directions. T1, the first Target store, is 5 min from my house. Collectors in my area have a bit easier time with the Target exclusives.
 
I must admit that shopping at target leaves a horribly bad taste in my mouth these days. And while I should be shunning toy companies who work with them, my desire to collect has left me with little to no impulse control since the age of 7 and they know this about me. Hell they recognize this in all of us. I could stand on the tallest of pedestals to protest what companies like Target have done since Trump took office, but all they have to do is wave a little bit of nostalgia bait in front of my face and suddenly I’m asking for someone to fetch me a ladder.

I feel immense shame

Heheh yeah, fuck Target. For their shitty preorder policies, and their larger policies in general.

I do have to remind myself that there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, and we just have to make the best choices we can. Target’s policies are weak and reactionary, but there are (unfortunately) much worse companies out there. That’s not an excuse, but it is a condition for action.

I did manage to get the preorder in. I’m probably in the minority for being more excited for Thanos than Psylocke, but I dig them both.
