Also, not to rain on parades, but even if you got an order in, you still have to deal with the "delay delivery" emails plus the "cancel the preorders to drive up hype" strategy. This is Target......
I've never had that happen since I switched to using the Target Red Card, but when I used my debit card it was a constant thing.

I can never find the links directly - I usually watch for a post from Preternia or Yakface or a site like that for the link since they have mastered the Search-Fu to find the links.
Thanks, I'll do that in the future. Maybe I'll get lucky and find them when they become available. What a frustrating start to my day. Bummer.

I've had that Mafex Wolverine since release, and NEVER had the arm issue others had with it popping off when moving it. I never gave it any special attention while moving the arm either, so take that for what it's worth.

You're literally the first person I've heard say that. The Fwoosh threads from 2020 all reported it, and every review I saw the reviewer had it. The reviews I remember watching were Robo and Anthony, although I know I watched more than those two.

Yep, I got distracted at work and didn't log on until 20 minutes after it went live and of course it was sold out. What is doubly frustrating is I checked at 5 minutes before the hour to see if it was up early but then had to take a call.

This was the only one of the four 2-packs that I planned on buying. From experience I also know that none of my local Targets will ever carry it. They never do carry the exclusives. So sick of the store exclusive garbage. Warbird, retro carded Carnage and the Tracksuit Mafia were all the same way.

Was it Target only or will Pulse get it? I may cave even at $60 as Thanos could be figured a deluxe figure.

It's available in the UK, take that for what you will. You'll probably end up getting them a month earlier than the US since they get stuff early for some reason.

Managed to get the psylocke 2pack. I'm glad, because that Psylocke looks great and I think I prefer this Thanos because of the headsculpt.

I went ahead and preordered the wolverine 2 pack as well, just because that new sculpt looks great.

So many Wolverines. It's time for a purge

I was able to secure my Psylocke and Thanos set when Dan Yun posted the link on his twitter. Thank god for affiliate links because I’m telling ya…Target is not easy to navigate. That search bar is downright archaic

The app was being a bit wonky when I went to pre-order the 2-pack, but I did somehow manage to get an order in. Like others said- I'm not resting easy until it's in my hands; I wouldn't be quite as bummed if this one got canceled as I would if my 97 Rogue pre-order got canceled, but still. Part of me feels a bit silly- I really only want it for Psylocke, and something tells me I'm gonna be one of many trying to offload their Thanos. I'm sure this Psylocke will see a single release one day, but I'm impatient. I cleared a little room to put my X-Men display back up, and the old Psylocke, while lovely, isn't holding up too well. Her energy crown is just refusing to stay on her head, for whatever reason.

Target is so unreliable the past three years that I don't even bother with pre-orders.

I have a new system for finding stuff at Target, but it's far trickier than it used to be when their inventory management was the best in the business. circa 2022 and earlier. I used to post extensively about how to reliably find stuff at Target, but now they're so terrible if I told you all my system for finding exclusives there it has a high chance of making a difficult search even more difficult.

But I will share one general bit of advice. Target's web inventory system is awful beyond belief, but their in-store inventory system is just as accurate as it ever was, and really it's better than before their corporate system went to shit because they added a feature to their in-store inventory system that will search nearby stores and show Target employees when a nearby store has the item you're looking for in stock. And if you call them or ask employees in the store while you're there they're generally quite willing to look things up in that system.

Another tip is that their in-store kiosks access the same corporate database that Target.com does so they're just as terrible as the web site is. You'd think that the in-store kiosks would access the in-store system, but nope. Every time I've tried to use those kiosks they report the same thing the public web site does.

Can confirm.

I've went to check a price, and the screen said the item that I was holding in my hand was out of stock. 😅

I’ve had my fair share of problems with curbside pickup orders lately too. I’m not sure if the old target system is responsible for this or if this is a part of some new AI initiative that still has a fair share of bugs to work out, but in the last two instances that I’ve done curbside pickup I’ve ordered something that was handed to me and it was not only the completely wrong item, but it was also itemized incorrectly due to a mismatched or shared DCPI # across target’s inventory. So for instance when I ordered the Neca Cartoon Ultimate shredder, they sent me a fiber supplement. When I went to pick up the Hammond Collection Allosaurus, what was waiting for me was some discounted Halloween decorations that were marked on clearance. It was a very odd sequence of events. I swear that Target logo isn’t modeled after a bullseye, it’s a diagram of a freaking labyrinth and the joke’s been on us the entire time.
