Tracking toy tariffs

The trays arrived in a box about 50 lbs, valued at $350. The tariff was $700 and fees $14. The HTS code on the invoice was 9903.85.68, a 200% tariff for Aluminum products of unknown origin. There's no aluminum in the box. I waited on hold for over 1/2 hour for someone to give me an email address to file a dispute, something I could've found on Reddit in 30 seconds. I just sent the email and we'll see what happens.

Literally cheaper for your company to pay someone minimum wage to do nothing but call them on like seven different burner cells until someone answers. Fucking ridiculous.
 
Thankfully almost everything we buy is sourced in the US. I can't imagine have to deal with this on a regular basis, especially when it seems like a simple classification error. From their email, it sounds like they're going to request pictures of the item or some kind of paperwork describing it.

They also warn against sending duplicate emails because it will only increase the queue.

Yea basically. Thats about what I see in my head every time it comes up that "someone will stop him." Like, I'm not trying to be mean to you guys with hope. But I have none. And since I can't do anything about it myself, I'm just gonna smoke weed and buy action figures till the total collapse of this society. Then I'll probably just off myself. I don't have the energy, physical ability, mental capacity, or give a fucks to survive what happens after.

Trying to survive this bullshit is enough. Imagine tacking zombies or Ghouls on top of it? Pfft, fuck that. Put me in the dirt. I'm good.
