Tracking toy tariffs

I'm 99% sure Venus will eventually get a figure from NECA, unless the rights are in some sort of strange web. Not because her or the Next Mutation are beloved, but because at a certain point every single iteration of the brand will have representation but that one, and for the sake of completeness I think we'll at LEAST see her, maybe as some sort of exclusive. We did get the Musical Mutagen Tour Turtles, after all.

Unless tariffs gunk everything up and peoples discretionary spending really becomes tight. At which point an $70 Venus figure won't seem quite like a why-not? stroke of whimsy.

Welp....first tariff surcharge came in from Big Bad.

The Mafex Superboy. A whopping 5.34ish%. From 99 to around 105. I can deal with that. Shouldn't HAVE to deal with that, but I can for now.

Just got a package in from Nin Nin, a SHF Ahsoka shipped via Japan Post, delivered here via USPS. No tariff. Country of origin listed as Japan, and they valued the package at 3,745 yen (figure was actually $65 or 8,930 yen)

FYI for Nin Nin shoppers, so far so good.

I got the same email. The figure was priced at $115 when I pre-ordered it last year, well before all the madness. It went down to $99. Now, like you say, up to $105 because of tariffs. That's still $10 less than when I pre-ordered.

I estimated my Rogue preorder at $103.59 from HLJ, $77.47 + $26.12 shipping. The preorder at BBTS is $104.99 * .06 sales tax + $4 = $115.29.
The margin between US and Japan is very slim, roughly $11.70 and that was with the current HLJ discount on shipping, no idea if it will be in effect when Rogue is in stock.

I ordered mine from AmiAmi. No Tariff charge, but I did have to change my default shipping from DHL to something else (I don't recall now what it was). All in all, it was a very regular transaction.

I saw something on BlueSky yesterday that said he had lost upwards of 80 or 90% of his court cases so far? I didn't delve any deeper but it wouldn't surprise me, considering just about everything he is trying to do exceeds the power of the president.

It's like 92% at this point, actually. And yes, that number is accurate. Only the higher profile ones see any real coverage, but Trump's various bullshit policies and attempts at subverting democracy and installing himself as the ultimate power in the universe are being challenged across the country almost daily, and he regularly loses those cases. In a lot of cases, the DOJ doesn't even attempt to argue in court - they just allow courts to strike their bullshit down because they know they can't win. It's all part of the plan.
