The Complaint Thread

Gotta break up the discussion of school to complain about the lack of responsibility when it comes to missing packages. Been trying to track my missing Mace vs. Palpy pack from Hasbro- says it was delivered last week, but it ain't here. Neighbors ain't seen it. Asked landlord to check the cameras- nothing. It ain't the first time I've had a shipper just drop my package off somewhere completely different from my place. Why? I don't know. Maybe they wanna end their day or something.

I call FedEx to try and see if they have any further info. They tell me the package is available for pickup. Cool. I ask where. Guy asks if he can put me on hold. Sure. Comes back two minutes later and says not only can he not tell me where it's available for pickup, but that he can't guarantee it even is available for pickup, and only Hasbro can contact them to open an investigation. Ay yi yi. So I call Hasbro, and the lady, while very nice, just immediately initiates a refund before asking if I wanted one. Which is nice and all, but I still want my stuff if possible, but being out of stock, a refund is their only option. I apologized for the inconvenience but did ask if it was possible to open an investigation; she said only her higher ups could, so she'd forward it along to them and reach out when she had an answer either way.

This is far from the first time this has happened, and not just with FedEx, though they are the most egregious ones. One time, if I wanted my package, I had to go to the regional hub or whatever it was- it was literally some underground bunker type place located past all these factories. Had to walk through the parking garage, down 3 flights of stairs to this little room- I'm talking little, with a one-way window, had to ring a bell and wait for someone to slide a little slot in the wall aside and ask what I was there for. I got my package, but it was the most surreal thing I've maybe ever experienced. Legit felt like a secret government building that I wasn't supposed to be in. I ain't expecting the package at this point, but if it is possible to get it, I hope I don't have to go through all that again.

Anywho. My complaint is just with shipping services in general. It's an endless cycle- one will frustrate me to the point I swear off using them so I'll switch to a new one, they'll be fine for a while and then do something to frustrate me to the point of swearing off using them, and repeat.

P.S.- literally as I posted this I got an email back from Hasbro saying they can't open an investigation with FedEx. Lovely. I'm glad I got my money back, but man, they sure do know how to frustrate a guy.
