Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

I'm curious: is Marvel Legends your only toy line?
At the moment. Maybe Mattel's DC line depending on what their plans are.

See, here's the thing about me. I'm not a toy collector. I'm really not. I'm a comic book collector who happens to like 6 inch scale comic accurate figures. That's pretty much it. I started about 25 years ago when DC Direct came on the scene. I was in my mid 40's then so I started late in life. All those toy lines and cartoons from the 80's that most toy collectors love ... GI Joe, MOTU, Star Wars, TMNT ... they mean nothing to me. Again, for clarification so no one loses their shit, those lines and cartoons are fine for people who like them. I get the childhood nostalgia. But I was an adult in the 80's. And that's the difference.

But DC Direct came on the scene and I liked them. They were all about the comic accurate figures and I could order them right through Diamond. And then there was Spider-Man Classics and Marvel Legends. And then Mattel got the DC license. I bought the occasional Marvel Select when I could fudge the scale.

And that's been it. Six inch scale and comic based. That's all I've ever cared about. I have never bought a McFarlane anything. Wrong scale. That was actually a relief. It was money saved. Wait, I did buy a McFarlane Anti-Monitor. Again I could fudge the scale and make it fit in the six inchers. Other than that I really haven't paid too much attention to what he's put out.

I'm curious to see what Mattel does with DC but yeah, right now it's just Marvel Legends.

IF Mattel goes to the six inch scale I'll look at them. History tells us that Mattel loves to go toe to toe with Hasbro to try and take a bite out of their market share so I think that's what they'll do. It'll be a mix of cartoon, movie, video game and comic book figures and I'll certainly be interested in the comic book figs. But that's a little ways off yet.

And I'll only do Mattel if they don't jerk us around with card games and mixing the BAF waves with non-comic figs. If they do that I'm not going to bother.

So yeah, that's where I'm at.

Ordered Werewolf By Night for the Moon Knight shelf. He's the only must have from all the reveals with the Inhumans being maybes as I only remember them vaguely from the 90s FF cartoon.

But hey, at least I won't get covid.

(Hopefully)
So, the Vaccine doesn't actually stop you from getting covid. It makes it so it doesn't kill you. It still makes you sick, you just have a better chance of living.

And just as a heads up, my ex fiance was a neuroscientist (im not shitting you), and uhh, the covid vaccine has more bad side effects then all of the other vaccines combined. Findings show that covid was engineered, and its so adaptive because it was meant to be. And the vaccines shouldve been tested more thoroughly before being used. And they can't stop you from getting it. I don't remember all the side effects she listed, but it was like 16 pages or so. Alot of people in her field didn't get it. The one vaccine isnt even available anymore cause it was causing a host of problems already for people who took it.

I'm gonna say, I'm not an anti vaccer. They are needed for many many diseases out there and should be taken. But I had 3 doses of the covid one, and the 3rd one almost killed me. She wouldn't let me get the 4th when we were together because I may not have survived it. And now I won't get it for the same reason. She never got vaccinated, nor did most of her country, because they all observed the lock down and made sure to kick it in the ass before it got too bad. As Americans, we didn't. Thats why shit got bad.

She was from Finland. Moved to Canada. And now shes back in Finland (I would assume, still). Haven't talked to her in almost a year. Probably for the best.

Your ex may have been mistaken as this does not appear to be true. By the end of February 2023, the vaccination coverage in the Finnish population was 79.3% for the first dose, 76.4% for the second, 54.2% for the third and 21.9% for the fourth dose [17].
This site also lets you compare vaccination rates by country. As of August 2024, Finland had a higher percentage of the overall population who have either received one dose or completed the initial vaccine protocol than the United States.

Not trying to diminish the side effects you or anyone else may have had. Your comments just got me interested in how the Finns were handling things.
