Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

When I finally decided to give customizing and kitbashing a real go, I bought some 3D sculpted parts off a seller known for that sorta thing on ebay. I bought a glove sleeve/hand set from the fella and when they arrived, it was the wrong set. So I message the guy, he says I'll get that fixed. Sends the wrong stuff again. I message him again, he's upset and tells me he's only gonna send me the glove sleeves as the hands are the same anyway and because he was losing money continuing to print the item[ that he was getting wrong, mind you] So I say hey, if you're upset I can just return everything you've sent and you can refund me, I'm not looking for issues. At this point he apologized and said he was upset with himself. The next shipment was correct. The dealing left a sour taste though and I've since heard the seller has had worse blowups at customers, so I count myself lucky
Out of curiosity, who was the seller? I've bought a few parts from a few different ones here lately, and while none of them have outright blown up at me, I've had a bunch of very passive aggressive responses to some of my questions (that, for the record, weren't answered in the description). Just curious if it was one of the ones I dealt with.

The only time I bought non-Transformers 3D printed parts from eBay was 1/6 scale Ahsoka lightsabers. They looked nice, but the hilts were sized like they were for 12" Hasbro hands, not a modern 1/6 figure. I needed them for a cheap loose Hot Toys Clone Wars Ahsoka I bought without the sabers (not the controversial tube top version!). I let it pass and didn't bother the seller. One of those things where the seller should have photos of the item in use.

I was looking at my old eBay correspondences. There was one credit card dispute where the CC company sided with the buyer, but eBay protected my sale. The buyer said "did not recognize transaction". eBay didn't place a hold on my funds, but it took exactly 2 months to get the case to officially closed. All for a $35 loose Marvel Select Lady Deadpool 😆

I think on two occasions, I bought something thinking it was 1/12 scale, when it was 1/18. Didn't even occur to me to contact the sellers and explain that I deserve a dumbass discount.
I did this once. Thought I was buying the Jubilee BAF, when I was really purchasing the Marvel Universe version. It was 100% me being a dumbass and letting my ADHD get in the way of properly looking at the figure and description. Did I complain to the seller? HELL NO! I didn't want to put that on him for MY mistake...and I didn't want him to know I could be such a dipshit! I wound up giving the figure to my niece, who was happy to have another figure to play with. Until today, I've never even told anyone about how stupid I was in that moment. I'm a bit surprised at how many people are willing to out themselves as complete morons.
