S.H. Figuarts Marvel Figures

According to Tamashii, Cyke will be 155mm. About 6.1 inches, for my American compatriots. Still a little small for Legends, but not nearly as shrimpy as I feared.

Yeah that’s around the size of the X-Men Classics Jim Lee cyclops from 2005. Definitely won’t fit in with modern legends but for anyone who still has a toy biz display you could supplement there. The body types and articulation cuts should be fairly similar

I haven't done the early morning preorder since the early days of SHF Star Wars, so I'm out of practice and missed the preorder. I know I was slightly awake early, but not thinking about preorders.

The crotch didn't scare away enough buyers?

The crotch-people were just trying to get you to stay in bed so they could scarf up all of the banana-hammocks.

I’ll look into this when US retailers put him up. I’m fine with not having it immediately. I will say, Bandai is often pretty punctual but 2025 has impacted them as well. I think they stopped shipping to the US during the height of tariff-mania and have only recently resumed. Product that was due in May is still outstanding in most places that carry SHF for US buyers.

Why do they not already have pre-orders for him? Usually they put them up around the same time the Japanese retailers do. They don't always carry every Figuarts figure, and with some they're not even able to get them. So I can't tell if they're going to get them this time or not, and the lack of current pre-orders suggests they might not.

for those wanting to buy him cheaper from the Japanese sites, Bandai almost always restocks after the first wave ships. Like 99% of the time. Unlike MAFEX who may use preorders to gauge production numbers, SHF puts preorders up when production is far along. I think they intentionally under stock the PO drops for hype.

Every time I missed out on a hot PO, I was able to get the same hyped figure for retail or less at release, or a couple weeks after.

I already spend too much money on Figuarts as it is, not sure I can justify this one...Especially not knowing how extensive their line will be. Could end up like their Street Fighter line.

I'd be interested in a Magneto from them, because Hasbro has just consistently disappointed me

It would likely cost around the same as the Mafex Magneto. You didn't like that one?

I'll be interested to compare this Figuarts Cyclops to the original one from Mafex that was inspired by Capcom's art. The initial impression is Bandai leaned MUCH harder into the Capcom style with this figure, so I would assume they would do the same with a Magneto.

If they included a shield with that hypothetical Magneto I'd be ecstatic, but I doubt it happens. Seems hard to improve on the Mafex Magneto, but we'll see.

Something about Mafex figures doesn't really do it for me. I'm not sure how to explain it. Their Magneto looks good, but not so good that I would spend that kind of money on it.
