As Ash said, it might also just be a matter of needing to see it in the intended colors.
They showed it at Joefest:

WARHAMMER SISTERS! Yes yes yes, that's what they look inspired by. I'm also wonderin how much skin will be showing (hard to tell if some of that armor is flesh or just smooth overlays). Not being a prude or a perv, more curious where FMF lands on that scale with their female figures.
(EDIT: Never mind posted just before wyldman posted the pic - I thought she was possibly gonna be showing some leg.)
Oh gross. I hate the exposed skin so much. Not in a prudish way, but in like a .. that looks terrible.. kind of way. They showed it at Joefest:

Thanks! The preview of Adrian Van Helsing in Crimson Moon jumps at me most since I'm really looking for a Van Helsing that looks a bit more like old Abraham himself. You can see their other female sculpts here:

Preach.Their approach to the female figures in general hasn’t been as good as the rest of the line
When's the watch party? The film: NUN OF THAT
It's SO good!I played their cover of Like a Prayer for Steph the other day and she's like "is it weird that I think I like this version better?" Somehow making my very low-key librarian partner a fan of thematic/gimmicky symphonic metal bands, apparently.
PREACH! Love them!Oh no, their cover of Like A Prayer is -absolutely- better. They're also just like.. a great band that deserves more recognition for being legitimately talented.
That legit looks like someone did a fake grindhouse trailer that got rejected for the Tarantino/Rodriguez double feature. My ex was in one of the worst nunsploitation films I've ever seen and I will never not laugh at being able to say that sentence.
The film: NUN OF THAT
The ladies are truly great musicians, all around.First time I heard the cover I'm like "I LOVE this" and then I went down the rabbit hole of scooping up their albums. They're legit. Sometimes the gimmick is just a gimmick covering actual talent.
I'm a big fan of bands doing theatrical stuff, especially when it comes to hard rock & metal. I know many think it cheapens the music, but I don't feel that way. To me, it adds another layer that is highly entertaining. Considering how talented the girls in Dogma are, and how it was basically conceived as a Broadway type show to begin with, I think it is a perfect blend of theater and rock.Oh yeah, they're so talented. I find a lot of gimmicky metal bands are really talented people that either just had a crazy idea and wanted to run with it (pirate metal, dwarf metal) or needed to do something to get noticed in the sea of 'everyone in this entire genre is really good at playing guitar.'
For me, I look at it and think of how impractical it is from a tactical standpoint. Why wear armor when you're leaving massive patches of skin exposed?Oh gross. I hate the exposed skin so much. Not in a prudish way, but in like a .. that looks terrible.. kind of way.
I'm thinking the same. I might even paint it another color just to give it some contrast. As long as it appears that the skin is covered, I'll be good.Yeah... I think I'll be buying at least one of the nuns - I like both of the heads without the gas mask, so I might buy 2 - but I might just paint the flesh parts black. It seems like that would have been an easy choice, but maybe they were afraid it would look too monolithic or blah without a secondary color too break it up.
The director specialized in bad grindhouse-style indie films. He was, and this is as funny to say as it is to type, pretty big in the Rhode Island indie film scene for a while. That legit looks like someone did a fake grindhouse trailer that got rejected for the Tarantino/Rodriguez double feature.
