NECA - General Thread

Also, he's crazy if he thinks his Howling figure is either more accurate or better than NECA's. Neither one is like super-specifically spot-on to what's in the movie, which is hard to pin down anyways, but NECA's just looks better overall. Though PCS did a Howling statue a few years ago that, despite being even LESS accurate to anything onscreen in the film, looks better than either figure anyways.

Adding this morning that I actually have big issues with how thin both of these figures are. Makes the heads look enormous. This is also a problem I have with NECA's American Werewolf in London figure: super long overly-thin limbs. None of these figures are perfect, and all are awkward-looking in some way or other.

I'd like to update this by saying that in-hand, I actually quite like this figure. Definitely moreso than any of the pics I'd seen before I had it in my possession.

It definitely looks cool. The fact that they only show one accessory is odd to me since these guys usually come with quite a bit.

My Howling Werewolf should be here later today, looking forward to that.

Savini Jason is exciting since he was off limits under the old licensing agreement (or at least that’s what Randy used to say on Twitter) I still want the New Line era Jasons though, so hopefully those are part of the Jason Un1v3rse license now too… also I wouldn’t mind a bigger Jason Toony Terror based on his MultiVS look

Now if only something could be worked out with the Craven estate so we could get some damn Freddy’s… they stopped at three! We were just getting to the good stuff when he could come with even crazier accessories!

And since I’ve already covered three vastly different topics and wasn’t here when the news broke:
I wonder if Gargoyles died because sales fell off a cliff after Goliath and Demona or if NECA just knew line wasn’t selling well enough to survive the tariff price hike. Because I really like that H20 Michael Myers but don’t know if I $44 love it, and pre-Tariff Gargoyles were already $5 more expensive than other Ultimates, and I’m a super Gargoyles fan and even I can’t fathom buying Jackal and Hyena for $55 a piece … maybe there’s a chance if we ever get a normal President again who doesn’t think tariffs are free money glitch/punishment tax for countries/companies who are mean to him Gargoyles can come back… or maybe it’s dead forever, I don’t know! Just something I think about…

Howler (how I will refer to "the Howling werewolf" from now on) is back in stock at Target.
And ordered. Figure looks spectacular. Wish I could've gotten it for some sale, but whatever.

The Savini Jason looks dope. Not one I'll get (I say, may change my mind in person), but that's cool looking.

Speaking of sales, I wish Target would do higher amount sales again--especially since they started considering NECA toys instead of electronics again. I could easily blow $100-$150 on figures right now. I only made 1 purchase last week because the value was too low to maximize the % off. Banshee and Longshot came to less than $41 before discount.
