NECA - General Thread

Is that how the Howling stand works? I do wish the figure had peg holes in the feet. I realize it wouldn't stand on its feet without some other support, but I think peg holes could have helped. I just kinda had the figure standing in front of the stand w/pole and it stayed standing. The clip has to grab its crotch?

Yep. It just clips right in.

I had the worst time opening this wolf, speaking of yelping like a hurt dog. Stabbed my box cutter into my thumb cutting the ties (whyyyyy do they need them, they aren't coming out of that plastic shell). And then when I was trying to pop his other head on his claws snagged a hole in my shirt because I had to apply so much pressure. It was overall not a fun adventure getting him out of the package but totally worth it afterwards.

I just use plier style nail clippers to cut twist ties. Pointed end lets me get into most tiny spaces to snip away. No fuss, no muss.

Ditto. It's an old pair no longer good for it's intended use, but works fine on the little plastic restraints holding figures in place.

I got the Howler last week and love it. I like having this variety of werewolves in my collection.

Having had to improvise a few times, I'll also say that if you have those little cutting pliers that you need for model kits, those tend to work really well for cutting twisty ties too, especially with the little curved end.

I do have some snips I use sometimes but they were in the drawer in the kitchen and the box cutter was conveniently in the drawer of my side table next to the couch so I made a bad choice.

I need some better snips though because mine are kind of stubby and don't reach into small places well without scuffing the figure.

With the ties that have the little "bows" on the underside of the tray that keep the figure in place, if I can't easily get to the ties by the figure, I'll flip it over and pull at the end of it and just snip behind the "bow", releasing the rest of the tie to pull from the other side of the figure's body part.

A few pages back I posted a pic of my updated Dante's Inferno with a Sandworm from Etsy on it because Neca was never going to make one...

Really bummed it comes in a two pack with a sequel Beetlejuice. Why couldn't it be the first film instead?

Yeah, I hate the Beetlejuice paywall though I get it. It may not sell nearly as well without him included. Still, this is a must-have for me.
