NECA - General Thread

BBTS just put up a NECA Ghouliana from those Horror coloring books. I'm not a huge fan of the cloth NECA stuff I've bought before, but she's neat and unique enough for me to give her a chance.

I hope that’s Universal Store mark-up and not a sign of things to come.

I impulse-bought Dracula and Van Helsing on Target with the coupon the other day and they showed up today. Just had this gut feeling that I would regret NOT having a Young Christopher Lee and Young Peter Cushing in my collection. I'm not usually one to keep the boxes, but man, between these two and the Jaws figures I just don't want to give the packaging up.

Having a tough time deciding if I should keep Van Helsing in his coat or ready for action with his sleeves rolled up. I'll probably do the latter because it inhibits his movement less that way. Annnd wish the film itself was streaming somewhere I was already paying for, but appears to be rentable on Prime at least. Due for a rewatch for the first time in a million years.

That was my thought process too. They're both too legendary to not have on the shelf.

I really liked both looks for Van Helsing too, but ended up going with the "getting down to business" look, just to break up the shelf a bit. Lots of darker colors on the horror shelf, as you can imagine, so some light splashes of brightness were quite welcome.

That's a good point - the white shirt and bare forearms break up the blacks and grays a bit.
