NECA Archie Comics Line

And of course the four pack is somehow lost in transit from Target, when I saw one in my local store last night and could've picked it up in hand. Having some weirdly / comically bad luck as I start collecting these NECA turtles (got the wrong accessories in a Mirage box last night too).
That's my luck right there. Because of that anytime I have a figure on preorder and I find it in store first, I always cancel. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, as they say.

I'm impatient so I've even been known to pick something up I find in store after the other has already shipped and then just return the shipped one to the store when it arrives. You just never know if it'll make it or not. Shipping isn't always the most reliable service out there.

I'm trying to think if I've ever actually had a shipment get lost completely... Nothing is immediately coming to mind.

I've had a handful over the years. Not too often. It usually is just a long delay where the package is lost and just when I've given up all hope it shows up.

You can get $20 off the wrestling Turtles via Target's ebay store:

I mean, it'll probably be gone before anyone sees this, but I've seen it pop in and out a couple times. The discount isn't reflected until it's in your cart.

Not sure if it's two different listings, but also here:

Be aware that the first link indicates "Used", which means it could be a return with missing or broken parts. When buying from Target's eBay store, the "New" listings are generally a better option.

Good lookin' out!

There are a decent number of listings in the US for the wrestling set at like 40-50% off the Target price before taxes and shipping. Was there a giant sale on these before? Curious how sellers are able to offer such a discount.

On a related note, IDW put out a hardcover collected edition of the Archie Comics adventures books this line is based on: https://a.co/d/esuSxrj

The first edition was just released. It contains the Stump Wrestling issues. Based on how it looks like these hardcovers are mapped, there will be four editions, one each for the Turtles.

Y'know, now I need to check but I think I still have the original run of the Archie comics. A hardcover trade would be great to have but I might legit still have the floppies of Stump Wrestling in my studio.

They skipped a bunch of issues in the original trade run they did of these, so I'm hoping that these new Compendiums A) include ALL the issues this time around, and B) eventually get softcover versions.

Starting to wonder how long I should wait before I assume Fedex lost my Stump Wrestling set. It's been "delayed" for a week while everything else from the order arrived just fine. Killing me that I had the thing in my hand in the store the other night but my order had allegedly already shipped...

I would reach out to whoever you bought it from. I purchased the Christmas turtles set through Walmart (shipped by NECA) last fall and when it was a week past its expected delivery date they just refunded it. Thankfully, it wasn't a big seller and I was able to rebuy it. If you bought yours through Target then they'll probably do the same and if it eventually arrives you'll either have a freebie or can just return it to a nearby store.

Oh shit did I buy the Christmas turtles....I can't even remember and forgotten they existed until you mentioned it.

The Christmas turtles honestly aren't very good, I'm just a sucker for Christmas variants and that old VHS special is one of those "So bad it's good," things to throw on come the holidays.

Tomorrow will be one week after purchase, so I'll just reach out to Target after work and cancel since I'm getting no movement on Fedex (I've got the Fedex app and it pinged me like crazy with the other items I bought on the same order, so it's definitely just this one item). It's still available to order on the site so hopefully I can just cancel and re-send.

(EDIT: Heh, I gave it one more day and now the package will be delivered tomorrow. Glad I waited one more day before giving up completely.)

There were apparently issues (legal or something), with some of the comic issues that have been skipped in subsequent reprints and collected additions. Someone on Fwoosh had his original copies custom made into a hardcover to match what was put out, for that reason.
