I ended up getting that Krang Shredder, and it makes a pretty good Shredder! One of the shoulder pads came off when I was switching the hands, but I glued it back on and it seems to be staying.

Yeah I definitely use mine as just Shredder too. Krang can just slither around on the ground.

A lot of people are going to be happy about Chris Allan working with NECA.

I thought this meant Archie proper. I'd buy a Betty and Veronica for my classic comics shelf.

That Krang Shredder is a lot of fun, and I honestly can't decide which look I prefer. I'm leaning toward just using the Shredder head on the body and letting Krang hang out with Bellybomb.

This Archie line is probably my favorite of all of NECA's current TMNT lines. I had completely forgotten the nostalgia I have for the comic book before NECA starting releasing figures from it, all of the old memories just came flooding back. The STUMP Turtles were a dream come true, 35 years in the making lol I hope we get "regular" Turtles from this line soon, and even then I would probably put black suited Raph with the other three plain brothers just because he wore that black suit for a long time in the book.

Looking forward to April! What was the name of the Fox Raph dated? She was cool...I've heard there are licensing issues because her creator used her in some explicit comic projects or something? At any rate, I hope we get her too.

NECA has April as the fifth turtle up their website. She's shipping in Q3, comes with four portraits, six hands, and a sword for $35. Decent value, but you also have to pay NECA's shipping rates. It doesn't say anything about her being an exclusive so one could always wait and see where this one winds up (and at what price, given the current tariff situation). The figure looks good though and I'm a sucker for these Archie figures. They just translate so well to plastic.

Has NECA said anything about releasing the Turtles themselves in the Archie Comic style? I know about the wrestling figures.

Speaking of those, have they said anything about releasing the ring?

They have not said anything about base Archie turtles, but I'm sure they're coming. They've made the shrewd move of going with the variants first which probably helps them sell through better before giving us the standard look. Expect this same body to be reused for them when they do come eventually. They've already released a variant set of Mirage turtles this year and they're going to do the Sakai turtles as well, so Archie may not happen until next year. Either way, I would not be surprised if they're at San Diego.

Trevor has expressed a desire to do the ring, but no confirmation. It probably depends on how well the wrestling figures are selling and how much it will cost. After the fiasco with Donatello's lab last year and the present economic climate, I wouldn't be surprised if it's something they have little appetite for. They still owe folks one more part of the sewer and there's that giant Krang they showed two summers ago.

I never read the Archie comics, but I remember seeing the covers of the comics growing up. And the Wrestling Turtles were intriguing to me. It was weird not knowing which was which based on these new outfits. So releasing them in the Wrestling outfits was actually the draw for me. I'd probably have bought standard Archie Turtles if they were released first, but I think I'd have been more reluctant. The Wrestling ones were an instant purchase just because they really stand out.

I don't know the references for the variants they've made in the Mirage line, so that has kept me from picking those up. I have no need for the Untouchables set. I did pick up Hunter Leo and Handyman Don on impulse, but haven't opened either and am considering returning them.

Honestly, you can grab any of the basic Mattel WWE wrestling rings and they work fine.

This is the "classic" ring with cage from Target.

I think I’m going to cave and pick up the wrestler set. I loved the Archie comics turtles and the space wrestling arc was iconic in its ridiculousness. I fell in love with Old Man Raph this week, my first NECA turtle in yearrrrrrs, and it’s got me obsessed.

EDIT: Did I cave and buy the four pack? I caved, I absolutely caved

And of course the four pack is somehow lost in transit from Target, when I saw one in my local store last night and could've picked it up in hand. Having some weirdly / comically bad luck as I start collecting these NECA turtles (got the wrong accessories in a Mirage box last night too).

You can get $20 off the wrestling Turtles via Target's ebay store:

I mean, it'll probably be gone before anyone sees this, but I've seen it pop in and out a couple times. The discount isn't reflected until it's in your cart.

Not sure if it's two different listings, but also here:
