NECA 2012 Turtles

Yeah, April is the only real omission, but it is a pretty big one.
 
Foot Soldiers are actually surprisingly sturdy. The limbs are made of rigid plastic, and don’t feel like they’ll wilt. Ankle joints are nice and tight. The figure overall is lightweight, so can balance easily. At least I’ve found.

April would be my biggest want beyond what they’ve shown. Then maybe Leatherhead.
 
I honestly think the only one I wouldn't have bought if made was when April's dad turned into the dumb bat mutant.
 
There's a lot more I would have bought but it sucks they couldn't rush April out in time for the end.

I'm not sure what the timeline is they have to ship by (and that's probably the part them screwed them over) but it certainly feels like they could have got a pre-order up this year given they were teasing her before.
 
For those who like to torture themselves, there are images of early sculpts for the LARP turtles as well as April. They're on Ciro Nieli's Instagram.

I did watch Robo and Veebs' livestream on Saturday and Veebs seemed to have some insider knowledge after talking with affected parties, including Mattel. If you want to reserve hope for a line like this one getting restarted, it sounds like Paramount is clearing the deck for Mattel to get started and once they determine where they want to go with TMNT the license will open back up for other players. A line like 2012 or Super7's 2003 probably has the greatest chance of coming back as I don't know if Mattel will necessarily care about either property, unless their focus ends up being like a TMNT Legends where waves of figures are made up of different eras.
 
I saw. Not bothered by the LARP turtles but man that April looked really good.

That makes sense I guess. Mattel paid for the master so Paramount are giving them time to get started before reopening to others. Also fits with Mondo being unaffected. Hopefully that can happen, there's still a few Mirage figures I need them to do and lots of 2012. But not holding my breath (at least in the short term).
 
Goddammit, you guys didn't mention they had a proto for the Creep too. That was one of my most wanted figures for this line. :(
 
Knowing NECA, I was surprised they didn't have the Creep in the first wave. That was a character right up their alley.
