NECA 2012 Turtles

I want that Metalhead, but probably not enough to pay the shipping charge. Especially if Walmart ends up getting them first anyway.
 
They take forever to fulfill their POs. With that and expensive shipping, I’ll take my chances at retail.
 
God I'm so excited to get a proper 2012 Splinter finally. I wanna fiddle with how Casey will work, being so spindly and all. This should be a fun wave.
 
Saw a YouTube short from Too Much New Toys pointing out how every pic of Casey released so far is in the same pose. I'm guessing that's a prototype and it must have been too fragile to do anything with. Or the photographer was really phoning it in.
 
Casey should have big ass gloves (goalie gloves?) but doesn't appear to come with them.
 
Trevor mentioned at Toy Fair they had to cut a bunch of accessories for Casey. I think the glove was one he called out by name.
 
There are definitely hands missing from those renders. Given how limited those prototypes appear to be I can see why they've turned to renders, even if they don't look particularly good.
 
Excited for Metalhead and Splinter. Casey is almost feeling like a pass... No goalie glove or roller skates was not a good choice for the character. I get they might not have had an unlimited budget for everything but those are kind of key accessories for him.

I've got time to decide, though, because I'm not going to bother with NECA's disaster of a store. I'll get them when they show up on BBTS.
 
Yeah, the lack of gloves for Casey really throws off his proportions... rather, it brings to attention how puny his limbs actually are. Could have been great like the rest of the line. Now it's obvious that they're skimping wherever they can.
 
If only they had a chance to do an accessory set they could have slipped those gloves into… ah well, maybe next year…

The NECA store “deal” of buy all three PLUS ANY OTHER NINJA TURTLE for free shipping is such a fucking insult. Like I don’t even want Casey (Casey should always be an adult dirtbag in my opinion.) but at least “buy all three for free shipping” is an actual deal.

(I also found out today the guy behind TMNT 2012 pitched Disney a Gargoyles reboot six years ago that got rejected so now this line is extra sad broken dreams)
 
The 3 + 1 for free shipping is so silly. Your most diehard fans are the ones getting all 3, they probably already have the other figures so the plus one is useless. Companies so often punish their most loyal fans and I'll never understand it.

That isn't really by choice. The rising costs of everything is affecting the line. Trevor even brought up them having to cut accessories on Casey cause the initial cost out would've been ridiculous. And the first wave of the turtles themselves had the heads pulled cause of trying to keep everything at the ultimate price point. Shit sucks, but this is the world we're in. And it's not going to get better it looks like.
