Mythological/Legends/Religious Figures combo thread

I bet a bunch of you are aware of this, but for those of you who aren’t, here’s a tidbit of tantalizing trivia that tangentially ties into this theological thread:

The fastest selling Playmobil figure of all time was the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation Martin Luther, complete with his 95 Theses (and quill!) accessory. :)
He's only 20 bucks too. That's pretty cool.

I was always Lego, but when friends had Playmobil pirate ships and castles were the best play room things. Except the one kid who had the GI Joe mobile command center and that was the only reason any of us ever wanted to sleep over.

I wonder if 4H are coordinating with the Legends of Ramayan team in terms of releases for the Hindu side of things.

Also, it looks like the Nippon Adventures launch has been moved to February, was supposed to be this week initially.

Was there any talk about the next Obscura recently?

BBTS just shipped my lil Baije figure. Weirdly psyched to have a Baije to go with my Wukong even if they're from different lines.

They announced the 3rd Egyptian one, but don't remember the time table. Convention exclusive with the main market one to come later? Something like that.

I ordered the Biblical Adventures Jesus from them direct, since they were the only place he was still in stock.

I considered the Moses they did because he's got the Egyptian vibe that would go well with the FO figures. Once big J arrives, maybe I'll snag him to pair with them later. I need to see the quality first, before going down another rabbit hole of a line.

I got notice from BBTS that the retailer versions of Anubis and Bastet will be arriving end of February. I don't recall them announcing a timetable for Thoth, but I think it is possible he will drop when the retailer versions arrive?

Young Moses is pretty good in his Pharoah mode. He doesn't come with as many accessories as some of the figures because he is packaged with the burning bush.

Given they did some Roman soldiers, I hope they might do some Egyptian soldiers in a future wave.

I gotta put the first set of Egyptian gods back out on display. Shelf got a little chaotic so I put them away a while back and right now only Monkey King is out and about, hanging with the Mouse King.

Yeah. I need a whole corner of my office fixed up to ad more floor to ceiling shelving. Need to enclose an old door to the porch I've used once in the 10 years I lived at my current house.
