MONDO Masters of the Universe 1/12 and 1/6

Same. I'm generally anti-soft goods, and while I was fine with them on He-Man, they do kinda look out of place on Duncan.
Has a teddy bear / Grizzlor quality to it. At this point I'm looking for any excuse to back out of this line before the preorder deadline for deluxe He-Man. That is one bulky gigantic cape on Skeletor too.

Feel that. I was kinda using this weekend to see how I felt about it after more reveals and such too. And man, it's probably sacrilege, but I would love to someday get some kinda Grizzlor figure that did NOT use real hair/fur. I'm just not into the mixed media thing at this scale.

I am a lot less impressed than I expected to be. Granted, I'm saying that as someone that already backed out of this because they took away the only reasons I might have bought in at all. BUT, I'm still perfectly happy to admire lines I don't collect (like Mondo's 1:6 X-Men). So I'm not like.. automatically biased to dislike these just because I'm not gonna buy 'em.

But I kind of dislike these.

It kind of pisses me off the figure I consider the closest to He-Man in muscular aesthetic is $150. I might still get him. I wish I could've had a He-Man in hand before needing to consider preorders on Man-at-Arms and Skeletor. I can easily stop at He-Man if he doesn't excite me enough to go much deeper into the line, much like I did with 12" He-Man. I have She-Ra and Teela, with the Goddess on the way.

The basic He-Man totals $125.86 from Mondo. Nerdzoic was selling He-Man at a higher price of $104.99. He sold out there, but I added a Mondo Ghostbusters figure to their cart to see what they would add to the total. They added only $6.50 to the price.

The Skeletor figure's head looks rather small. Maybe it's the large billowing cape doing it. But the hood on the head looks rather drawn down on the skull, not a lot of volume in it. I remember it being more elevated and pointed in the back.

Cool than Orko comes with Teela. I'm still deciding if I even want He-Man.

All the male heads look small. I think that's the style they're going for.

First off, is it true Mondo is doing 1/12 Bravestarr?

Second, I still really like these MOTU figures, but the price, and the fact they don't come out for a year makes me not feel like getting them. It really made me feel like getting Mattel's 200X figures more because they will start coming out soon and are a cheaper price. They also go with a bigger preexisting collection.

But the way Mondo is doing this feels rough, but maybe that's how they always do things.

But they just asked for $300 for He-Man and Clawful. In November, they are going to ask for $300 more dollars for Skeletor and Man At Arms. Then around February, they are going to ask for $300 more dollars for Teela and Merman. You'll have nearly $1,000 in 6 figures in 6 months time, that has to be paid upfront, and you'll still be months and months away from even receiving Wave 1.

Cool looking toys, but I don't think I want to do this line
