These pics made it easier for me to stay out. At $50-60 I'd be all-in, but I just don't see the value they do in these. Me not being a big MOTU guy probably helps, but they just look like really nice figures. Not stellar OMG figures worth the price point they are asking.
 
Slowly talking myself out of even going in on this line at all. NOT starting it frees up the issue of space and money for other things as well. I'm interested to see what Skeletor comes with in terms of heads.
 
I went in on these, but the more I'm thinking about it, the more I might just have to admire them from afar and stick with the much more affordable (and expansive) Masterverse.

I don't know. We shall see. I'm not sure how hard it is to cancel a Mondo order.
 
Goddess delivered today. She's lovely and all but I have to point out one goofy thing. I haven't watched any reviews, so I don't if it's just mine, but notice the angle of the bracers near her elbow? Her left elbow can bend a full 90 degrees, while her right elbow is very slightly impeded. It's nothing to cry over, but there's always something with my Mondo figures.

Was mulling over putting an order in for He-Man (would be my first!) but $50 for shipping??? You’re ’aving a laugh, mate. I can get something shipped registered from Japan for a fifth of that.
 
I bought a regular He-Man from BBTS. Mondo's $151 and change for the timed release wasn't working for me.
 
I bought the timed edition He-Man and his little base and extra head. I figured He-Man is really he make or break component to this line. If I get it in hand and am nonplussed I figure I'll just sell it. The timed editions typically go for a little over what I paid so it should be easy to recoup given that it's the main character and MOTU He-Man stuff tends to sell out quick.

Basically I have my money tied up in a $153 "maybe." At least it's not an NFT.
 
I need someone to talk me into keeping or cancelling these figures. Decision is being made tonight.

Pros and Cons. Go.

On one hand:
-You can get 10 Masterverse figures for the cost of 2 of these. So, I at least will have Masterverse to fall back on for my MOTU fix. And far, FAR more expansive, the breadth of characters...

On the other hand:
-Who knows if Mondo will be around in a few years with the state of Funko? But Masterverse will not even come close to touching this level of detail and and quality...but again...at an extremely high price. 325 bucks for two figures is a big, BIG ask. And will they even get to all of my favorite characters?

But back to the one hand:
I am a sucker for scale done right and an outright slut for a cool base...

HALP!!
 
Are you okay with a collection of just 2-4 characters? If just 'a super high detailed collection of He-Man figures but not necessarily a full collection' appeals to you... keep 'em. If this line only matters to you because you can build the entire roster and it isn't based on a love of each individual figure? Don't buy them and stop wasting your fucking money, you goober.
 
Well, the other option was JUST collecting these, and offloading my Masterverse to save some room.

So, let's see if I offer my General Blade to YOU for cost, you scrotum. Nyeh.
