For better or worse, this is how I'd describe most Legends. I kind of like getting imports more because you never know what to expect. They can blow you away (like Figma TotK Link) or massively disappoint you (Figma Elden Ring Raging Wolf). Each approach has pros and cons.
I picked up the Rom Omnibus when the figure was announced. I also never read him back in the day. fingfangfoom described it well, he's got a cool/classic backstory and gallivanted all around the Marvel U. Plus, I just like the big boxy robot design. Same reason I want an M-11 from Agents of Atlas.
It's the biggest downside of Legends, for sure. When they do put out something that's not from the buck pile, I usually love it (Rom, Wong, Titania, Odin, most BAFs). And a lot of the reuse works well enough that I have no complaints. But figures like Banshee and Adam Warlock not even getting sculpted boots just absolutely kills me.
People don't seem to be digging how he turned out, but Miles is all-new as well, right? So it's really half and half, which I think is closer to the reality of most ML waves.
Miles is all new, but not what many would consider a big improvement over previous versions. He got the pivot torso and butterfly shoulders, but got those janky hips.

I know it may sound silly, but I will never consider the Avengers complete until we get Red Wolf, Two-Gun Kid, Phantom Rider and the World War Two Whizzer. Jarvis and Rick Jones are must haves, too. And the reason I feel that way is because I'm a child of the 60's and 70's. I cut my teeth on the Silver Age and became a comics-for-lifer during the Bronze Age.
And I will keep asking for Western characters, classic monsters, Golden Age heroes and villains, non-costumed civilians, supporting characters, humor characters (I WILL have my Dr. Bong) and all those other oddballs and long shots. We know we're going to get Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spider-Man, the FF and all the stars. It's the D list that we need to campaign for. To me, boards like these are a god send and a golden opportunity to make our voices heard by the people who can make our wants happen. And at this year's SDCC, I will make sure they know we're here.
Yeah, I haven't gotten mine yet but that seems to be the consensus. Still though, that's 3/6 completely new figures. Not saying we should throw them a parade, but credit where it's due.
Daken is the evolved Sunfire body, pinless joints. I think he has different, bulkier arms though. And new, taller, Wolverine boots.
