ML Mini Comic wave

Man I would have begged, borrowed and stole to get that set. I think it is at least more possible to get some Marvel Western heroes now more than ever with how deep in character selection they are starting to go. I'll never stop beating that drum.

Lately I've been glad that things didn't come to pass or took a while to come out.

I feel like current Legends would just knock that out of the park, and with Lockjaw and Modok and the other weird stuff they've done, the would entertain something like this and execute better.

Of course, they've have to make it in the first place. I'm coming from a space where I unloaded most of the pre 2022 stuff because it just didn't work for me against the newer paint and mold practices.

Also while I know I am in the minority and even I would have preferred a different accessory but the mini comics are kinda cool. Just not at the cost of a full set of alternate hands. I just like having miniature items that can interact with my action figures . Just like those " worlds smallest" gi Joe's and he man figures

Western set would have been awesome but Rawhide Kid definitely deserves a slot over Outlaw. Outlaw is a Deadpool associated character and easily makes sense in an upcoming Deadpool wave. Also, if they (hopefully) do get to Red Wolf, it's got to be the modern day Red Wolf (Will Talltrees) from Avengers #80. Would love to include Red Wolf in the Avengers and he also starts the Rangers. By the way, could one of the current Avengers writers make it official, Marvel's first Native American superhero should be an actual card-carrying member. He's on multiple classic posters as a member of the Avengers and seemed to be acknowledged as such in the Sam Wilson Captain America comic with elderly Steve Rogers. The 19th Century Ghost/Night/Phantom Rider is almost indistinguishable from the modern day Phantom Rider (Hamilton Slade), so if they did the Old West one, you'd pretty much also have the Rangers member.

This is a hot take from 1975 but why are Banshee and Sunfire not on the Giant-Sized cover? It's so weird to highlight that cover with Banshee and he's... not on it. Cyke is on it twice, but not two of the newbies?

Maybe because they weren't new to the X-Men universe, unlike all the others that are being led by Cyclops? None of that crew had ever appeared in an X-Men title - or at all, except for Wolverine.

Sure it could. It will be glued though and not nec fit well on the other head. Only one way to find out.

The neutral head with the sideburns probably has divots in the head sculpt where the sideburns fit. If you swap the shorter hair, I’m betting those divots will stay exposed.

I just want the sideburns on the screaming head so that wouldn't be an issue in this case. If anything the sideburns might stick out a bit more than normal on the other head.

I knew there was a reason I liked you. :)

I know it may sound silly, but I will never consider the Avengers complete until we get Red Wolf, Two-Gun Kid, Phantom Rider and the World War Two Whizzer. Jarvis and Rick Jones are must haves, too. And the reason I feel that way is because I'm a child of the 60's and 70's. I cut my teeth on the Silver Age and became a comics-for-lifer during the Bronze Age.

And I will keep asking for Western characters, classic monsters, Golden Age heroes and villains, non-costumed civilians, supporting characters, humor characters (I WILL have my Dr. Bong) and all those other oddballs and long shots. We know we're going to get Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spider-Man, the FF and all the stars. It's the D list that we need to campaign for. To me, boards like these are a god send and a golden opportunity to make our voices heard by the people who can make our wants happen. And at this year's SDCC, I will make sure they know we're here.

Ultimate Iron Man’s the winner in this set for me. Just all around a well designed figure. I do wish he were a little bigger since this armor was a 7 footer and he’s just barely bigger than the 616 armors that’re 6’6”. Hope there’s more Ultimates on the way and they keep being as good as this and Cap. ROM’s a distant second here but he’s a fun figure too. Warlock’s a surprisingly good update too.

Daken’s not doing much for me. Between the goofy grin and unibrow on the masked head, the metal claws, and the choice of the comic gripping hand (vs the other 2 clawed fist) he’s just irking me.

Surprised I like the new Miles. Looks odd in vanilla poses, but the hips function well and look good in action poses. I love the matte finish on the guy. The oddly limited hand options aren’t helping.

Banshee’s just too big. Kind of seems like a residual casualty of those X-men 275 figures all using the Jim Lee Cyclops parts. Heads were painted better on the 3-pack version. Cape’s still bad and one-sided, but overall the figure’s not doing any more or less than expected and it’s far better looking than the Annihilus wave one.

That's what it looks like to me as wel without having any of the figures in hand, but I really, really hate the design of that armor. The bulbous head is SO doofy-looking.

Gamestop has the whole wave in stock including Rom so I ordered there. They also had most of the new Star Wars Black Series wave including Sebulba and Shaak Ti so it was a no-brainer.

I placed this order on Monday, and my bank showed the charge that same day. Now the charge has just vanished and the order isn't in my Gamestop web site order history.

Gamestop's constantly-buggy web site has been pissing me off for years now. Half of the time it won't let me log in, and they've had some weird bug for months where if you add things to your cart in one browser such as my desktop PC and then open the site up in another browser such as my phone it automatically doubles the count of what's in the cart. The bug is consistent enough for me to predict when it will happen now.

I think I'm done with them except for when I'm desperate and just can't find something anywhere else. They also used to have nice sales, but since they almost went bankrupt a few years ago I haven't seen any at all.
