Masters of the Universe: Origins

I honestly didn't even know they had released a new Hordak variant this way. He's one of those characters I'm happy to have one or two of but don't need to go crazy with unlike Skeletor. I didn't even preorder the cartoon version, though I keep meaning to pick one up.

The old BBTS curse strikes again: shipped my pol on Saturday and got arrival notice for the new Catra today. Every time you hit ship my loot…

I did too. Catra, Leech, and Faker all processing soon from BBTS.

I have 2 extra Fakers ordered on Amazon. I wanted to put the alternate, non-Faker head on one figure, and then I wanted to use the other Faker body to put one of the original Filmation He-Man releases head on.

Same.... Shipped POL Friday, got the email yesterday that Catra and Leech hit PoL. Sigh. They'll sit there awhile now.

I just got Hurricane Hordak in the mail. It's a really nice-looking figure. Like He-Ro, the vac metal looking armor really pops (how are they doing this? Is it actual vac-metal or some other method?) One more piece of the vintage collection checked off.

We need an Articulated Thoughts BBTS Coordination Thread where everyone can agree on which member per month will take the hit and ship their POL so the rest of us can have our stuff come in stock.
I could get behind this. I'd be happy to take the hit every so often if it takes the sting off everyone else. I knew I should've had patience; I had three other MOTU figures in my POL. Catra had to be forthcoming.

Man. BBTS wasn't kidding when they said, "processing soon". Catra, Faker, and Leech are processed and shipping out now. I think I'm most excited about Catra in this Wave. I always like her and figures of her. But the fact she comes with the version of herself transformed into a Cat just makes this figure even cooler.

I always wished they had made her Cat formation in the MOTU Classics line.

I'm really excited for the Filmation Leech finally, since he was the one of the 3 big Horde henchman that Super 7 didn't get to in their Filmation-inspired line. I can't wait to get him, Grizzlor, and Mantenna on the shelf together. I do want to eventually see Octavia, Entrapta, and Scorpia in the line though, preferably sooner rather than later.

Toy Habits is speculating that the Saturday, May 24th Mattel Creations drop is going to be the Snake Lair 2.0 since that falls in the middle of London Comic Con and drops usually happen in Monday but this one is on a special day.

I saw that too. I kind of feel like he is wrong though, just because of the money/dollar symbols under the event on the calendar.

There are just two $$ dollar signs.

No way a crowdfund or outright in stock purchase for the Snake Lair is $99 or less. Unless the new 2.0 Snake Lair, based on the original art, being much smaller than that monstrosity they tried to crowdfund really can come in at the Grayskull or Snake Mountain retail cost. But I really doubt it. But I could easily be wrong. It happens a lot lol.

Is there some kind of scale for what each dollar sign amounts to on Mattel Creations?

I am also a bit skeptical because I don't see them going from a Crowdfund model for a relatively large playset to just a straight up order, even if the playset is smaller this time around. However Michael and Toy Sorceress do seem to have some solid inside connections so maybe?

I'm not 100% sold on the idea either but they are usually right. However they seemed to be speculating more than basing it on inside info, unless I totally misinterpreted the post.
