Masters of the Universe: Origins

Origins Point Dread was hanging around Ross stores for a while. I think it was $15.

I picked up the Sketchbook series Hordak/Grizzlor at Target for $9. If Hordak has two normal arms, he'd have been a potential army builder at that price. Would almost be tempted to get Hurricane Hordak just to use that alternate head on a sketchbook body.

Six bucks would have been enough of a deal I would have caved and got this. Its back up to $22 now.

$6 was the deal of the century for the Talon Fighter and Point Dread. If I hadn't already had the set twice, I would have bought it. I paid full price for my first Point Dread in origins but got the second for $20. And I thought $20 was a great deal.

$6 was insane! Did anyone on here get one at that price after Justice posted it?

Anyone vote in the Club Grayskull poll? They're soliciting ideas for more crossover lines.

I logged on to vote in the poll and couldn't actually FIND the poll to participate, so I gave up. Fun idea to solicit ideas though.

Thanks! I wonder if I clicked on the link too fast when the email went out and the poll itself wasn't in the thread. The first post just said "the poll below" and there was nothing under the comment when I looked this morning.

I did the poll. I don't know if I "need" anymore crossovers, and I'd prefer they just finish the vintage MOTU line and then focus more on POP and other MOTU characters.

But I threw a few names out for a crossover. I said Bravestar, Silverhawks, Highlander, and Conan.

I saw others mentioned Crystar and Blackstar and I thought those were good ideas too.

So while I did mention those old 80's properties out there I also threw in a couple that I thought they were more in line with what they were asking for and so I also said Star Wars - that mash up will never happen but would be crazy as hell - and then DC Comics. Funko already actually did the DC thing a little, but I liked it and wouldnt mind seeing it revisited and fleshed out more... and Mattel has the rights for both, unlike Star Wars whic would never happen in a million years.

Yep. I hit all the standard 80s properties. Like PantherCult said they have the DC license so I imagine we'll see something come from that either next year or 2027.

One I forgot to add was Visionaries. I think they would be a great crossover line and if they could figure out hologram use (price and execution) it could spread to regular MOTU (among others).

It's funny you mention Visionaries because I almost put Super Naturals. The other Hologram toy line. But Visionaries would fit as well.

I wonder if they could make Super Naturals-style Holograms work with the Origins pop-and-play feature. I fuckin' LOVE Super Naturals. Burnheart appeared all over the place when I was a kid. Sometimes he was fighting King Arthur (from 'and the Knights of Justice' fame), sometimes he was fighting Wolverine, sometimes he was fighting Hercules (of 'The Legendary Journeys of...' line). Good stuff. I had two or three of the regular ghost dudes, too. Great toyline. Very underrated.
