Masters of the Universe: Origins

I had realized I hadn't opened my Deluxe 200X Clawful yet. So, I opened him up. He's a great looking figure, but mine really has trouble staying together. The upper body that plugs into the waist of the lower body just doesn't really snap in secure and stay.

Did anyone else have this problem, or is it just mine and I should grab another one?
I haven’t opened ANY 200X figures yet!

100% having the same issue.

Ok. I hate to hear that you're having that problem too Rick, but I appreciate you letting me know. I will hold off buying another. Because maybe it's just a universal issue with this figure. I'd hate to buy another, and have it just happen again.

I'll check some YouTube videos too and see if others have dealt with it.

He is really top heavy though. But even still, it's like it won't just officially snap into place securely. I can definitely get it on where I could display him, but as soon as I start moving his waist or upper body, apart he comes.

Target sent an e-mail saying they would begin processing the MOTU Movie Origins products soon. He-Man, Spikor, and the Fright Fighter.

I can't decide if I want to get any of the movie stuff except for He-Man and Skeletor in Origins. I'm already going to be buying the Kids Core and Chronicles figures for the new movie, and Origins has all just been classic toy and cartoon representation of MOTU to this point. I don't know if I need movie figures in the Origins line, and I don't know if I need to be buying a third, and what seems much smaller line of movie toys in these movie Origins figures.

I do want He-Man and Skeletor at least, and I want the Fright Fighter. But I can't decide if I want the rest of the movie stuff in Origins.

I also don't know if I have the will power to skip it lol.

Folks in Australia found Origins Movie figures of Man At Arms and Tri Klops at Target recently.

So, for Origins Movie characters, that means as of now we know they are doing He-Man, Beast Man (on Mattel Creations the 20th), Spikor, Trap Jaw, Man At Arms, and Tri Klops as well as the Fright Fighter. I'm sure they'll do Origins Skeletor and Teela, they just haven't been announced or shown yet.

I would like to grab the Origins movie He-Man and maybe Skeletor when they do him. But I really don't need to start a whole other Origins collection for the movie figures which I will also be buying in Chronicles. That's just... kind of silly. I do like having the different representations of He-Man himself in Origins, though.

I hadn't noticed until just now, but BBTS had sent me e-mails earlier saying the next Wave of the 200X figures are on a container heading this way and are estimated to ship out to us around Late May. I was honestly expecting these soon, but I'm kind of glad it will be about a month with all the MOTU Movie merch about to drop on the 25th of April.

But still, I'm excited to get this new Wave in hand. It looks like another very well-done set. As of now, I think I'm most excited about Teela.

Buzz Off, Webstor, and Keldor have just been revealed! That leaves a deluxe to be revealed as well...

If the old rumors are true, the Deluxe is probably Whiplash. But who knows. No matter what, that's a solid Wave of the regular 200X.

Wasn't sure I'd bother with the concept art Man-E-Faces but as usual I punked myself by writing that fan fic background for him and was like, well, shit, now I need this one, too. Origins are fairly short money compared to other lines, at least, and I love how he's a completely different look from what ended up being made.

I grabbed 1 Sketch Man E Faces, and then I added the Fright Fighter which got me Free Shipping. I don't think I'm doing any of the Movie Origins figures, except I might get He-Man and Skeletor. But I still wanted the Fright Fighter for Origins because it looks pretty close to the vintage vehicle, and I can use it with the Kids Core line figures as well.

But I really like these Sketchbook figures. I hope it's something they keep doing. My favorite was definitely the last one though of He-Man.

Picked up concept Man E Faces today. I kinda dig the Egyptian/Mayan motif, but I feel like there’s not enough different about him from the chosen design. Not sure what’s up with the included scepter, mine is a little misaligned. I like the humanoid and robot faces best. The alien face is odd. I was sure his Baja was cloth, but it’s plastic! It’s so flat and shapeless, I don’t think it’s meant to resemble cloth.

Concept He-Man was down to 10.99 so I grabbed an extra! Also caved on a He-Man/Optimus crossover for 12.50 or so.
