I bought Maximum Spidey as well. He is now my favorite Spider-Man in my collection, but certainly $15-$20 overpriced. However if I had to do it all over again then I'd still be more likely to buy him at $50 than I would be to pay the $50 for the Renew Your Vows 2-pack or $28 for Amazing Fantasy Spidey, which I believe were the retails costs for those figures when they were released. To be honest, I'm one of those people that think all the figures are overpriced now. If I knew 25 years ago that the figures that I started collecting at $7.99 would eventually be over $25 I may never have started collecting. I also never dreamed the line would last this long.
I'm much more skeptical about the Hulk. I've got him pre-ordered for the reduced $50 at Best Buy (instead of the $60 everywhere else) but it's 50/50 that I cancel right now before he comes out. I figure that I've got about a month yet to decide for sure and online reviews should be hitting before that. If I can really get him at $50 like the BB pre-order shows, I'll probably keep it - but if ends up being $60 there too then that small will difference will likely be enough where I'll probably cancel or return.
