As I understand it the black suit variant is based on McFarlane’s run on the Adjectiveless Spider-Man book when he faced off against Morbius

Most likely yes, but depending on how faithful they want to get with Todd’s art style it might also come with a plethora of blue highlights on the suit as well as a very stylized venom logo that has the double ridges on the legs

I’m hoping for someone like Elektra but she doesn’t strike me as someone who would come with a huge amount of accessories. But it would still be a great reuse of that Psylocke body. Maybe she could come with a whole bunch of weapons like her traditional Sai, some swords, stiletto knives, the Sai with the reverse tines like she used to carry, and maybe even like a pair of hook swords? Has she ever used hook swords? I feel like that was a thing during the Marvel Knights run?

Maximum Ghost Spider would be cool.

I don't know if we get a Widow so close to the Target one that basically was one.

For difficulty level, I want to make it not an X-Men. Even then, I dunno. Wanda? She Hulk with the Slott suit and soft goods lawyer clothes?
 
Yeah, I'd kind of like an Under Siege Wasp, but she's tricky since she had like 1,000 costumes and the accessory options aren't apparent; I'm not sure if she'd be a good Maximum candidate. Agree about Black Widow's deluxe release being a precursor to this line. I could see Storm or Scarlet Witch getting the Maximum treatment.

It won't be immediate, but they also don't totally think this way. Otherwise we wouldn't see BAFs re-issued single-carded or in two-packs, because that devalues the entire BAF concept. Why buy those two extra figures you don't want for the BAF when you can just buy the BAF in two years?

Hasbro views the Maximum figures as an expression unto itself. They also know collectors are impatient as fuck. Even if you told people right now 'we're going to release a super deluxe black suit Spider-Man Maximum figure tomorrow, and in 2027 you're going to see him again single-carded but without all the cool shit' -- how many collectors are going to buy the Max figure? Fucking all of them. And Hasbro knows it.

I’m going to agree with Stoopid Sandwich and say Elektra. You’re not going to get me to pony up $50 for yet another Rogue, Storm, Jean Gray or Black Widow, but with Elektra, you have a shot.

All things being equal, the less often I see a character in figure form, the more I’m going to be willing to pay…and vice versa. Offer me a Maximum Namorita, and I’ll buy multiples. Screw value. 😂
