Marvel Legends Maximum Series

Daredevil and Elektra are good candidates for Maximum. Characters that need gymnast poseability, lots of weapons, and some weapons effects.
Ah right Daredevil. Yes him too. Elektra... not sure. It would be a LOT of weapons and essentially a new Psylocke type body.

Spider-Gwen with the drum set from the Cold Slither pack could work.
Could it work? As a figure which could be upgraded to a more modern body and come with some slightly relevant large accessories? Yes, that would technically be a Maximum style release. Would it sell? Would I be thrilled to buy a very articulated Spider-Gwen where I'm upcharged on a drum set? The $15 Magic card stings less.

I think it's probably a safe bet that a lot of these Maximum designed bodies will make their way to more basic, cheaper releases at some point in the future.

Wow. I figured $49.99Max series was a gauge to see how much they can increase the price for general releases (and still do think this). But I didn't anticipate them even pumping the Max pricepoint to $57.99. Love to pay half-a-Mezco price for a Marvels Legends figure. Again, fuck these guys and their contribution to excluding all but the very wealthy from enjoying hobbies.

Is a card really worth more than a BAF piece? Asking for a non-Magic The Gathering person.

Dafuq? I hopped on Pulse just to check stuff out and Maximum Deadpool is $57.99?!? W.T.F.? Thought we would be $49.99 like Spidey, not nearly as much as the Hulk. Fuck...

Had to check and Amazon has it for $49.99 still for anyone wanting him.

I don't think of Maximum or Magic pricing as testing the waters so much as conditioning. When a basic jumps to $30 folks will feel at least it's not $40.
I’ve been expecting that jump for quite some time now. Honestly, I would prefer $30 single carded figures to many of these other options. I’m more about the core figure than all the bells and whistles, but there’s plenty of room for both.
