Marvel Legends Gamerverse

That's too bad about War machine. I didn't know that was a problem with him in that set. I actually saw 4 of that set at a Wal-Mart today but passed on it. Kind of glad I did. I really just wanted Omega Red, but he is so similar to other versions I have, it didn't seem worth $60.

I LOVE the Psylocke and Thanos set. Everyone likes that Psylocke I think, me included. But that Thanos figures colors had me excited about it from the get-go. That set did not disappoint.
Omega Red is one of my usual "have to buy characters" in most releases, but alas even HIS legs were gummy. My main issue with Psylocke is her legs are kinda thick and her face doesn't look reminiscent of Jim Lee's art enough, but they're lesser complaints. Overall they could have done much worse to us. I still think an X-Force Psylocke is likely in the works too. I think that Thanos' look is exclusive to the Capcom games, but for whatever reason I like it more than his normal comic look.

I'd heard rumors of them already working on a Gamerverse Gambit (lighter colored coat essentially and different head), Rogue, Storm, Spidey, Hulk and Sabretooth. I'm not sure I can turn down any of those.

I do think Cap/Venom was, in total, the set that brought me the most joy. I knew I'd like a non-scaled armor Cap but he exceeded expectations, and I'm perpetually baffled at how much I love Venom.

Psylocke is still the belle of the ball for the entire wave but bang for my buck, Cap/Venom won.

I am still, a few weeks later, perpetually messing with the Wolverine figure so he's objectively fun, but just doesn't fit with my other stuff so I more consider him a very cool one-off than a collection enhancer.

The definites for me would be a revamped Magneto and the mvc Sentinel, but the right SPidey, Rogue, or Sabertooth might get me too.

I got rid of my Venom, but that Cap is real good. I still wish he came with the bigger shield, but that's my only complaint for him and I think this one does match the game version.

Dwight mentioned that some of the more popular Gamerverse fugues would likely be re-released down the road. I took it to mean Psylocke, Wolverine, and Cap. I think they’re all be re-released but in slightly different colors.

I bought the Cap/Venom set from Amazon but realized unloading Venom would probably not be so easy at this point. Started a return and Amazon offered me a refund of $12 plus tax to just keep it. I was waffling and must have accidentally accepted. Whoops. Gotta try and sell Venom.

I’m convinced Cap will be re-released, maybe even next year. Still disappoints they sculpted a new torso (upper anyway) and still didn’t give him articulation at his ribcage right where his costume would hide it. Guess they’d also need to create a new lower torso. But it’s so short-sighted and frustrating.

Doubt I'll be buying any alternate color schemes from the Gamerverse line beyond Wolverine, his alternate was lazy version of Brown & Tan was it not? Doubt I'd go for any of the others, but the bone claws one was one I wasn't aware made it to Capcom.

Bone claw was actually its own different character sets.

Bone is the XvSF version, with modified moves, longer claws, and does more damage but takes more damage.

Also a whole host of technical minutia:

===

Bone Claws Wolverine

- Angle dive kick.

- Can combo with MK (taps LK twice). No sweeping trip.

- Two Hyper moves: Berserker Barrage X and Weapon X. Three Special moves. Berserker Barrage, Tornado Claw, and Drill Claw.

- Berseker Barrage is strong than Metal Claw Wolverine's Berserker Barrage.

- Long Range of long claws, perhaps; plus the assist types are basic moves.

- Weapon X can auto-combo any assist types.

***

Metal Claws Wolverine

- Vertical dive kick.

- Has a sweeping trip (taps LK twice).

- Four Hyper Moves: Berserk Charge, Fatal Claw, Berserker Barrage X, and Weapon. Four Special moves: Berserker Slash, Berserker Barrage, Tornado Claw, and Drill Claw.

- The assist types are special moves.

- Weapon X cannot auto-combo against any assist types.

I use the Marvel Select Classic Cap's shield set up for my Gamerverse Cap. I stole the C grip hands from Secret Wars Cap to hold the shield straps and the harness to wear that shield on his back works great with the bigger upper torso. Took the Steve Rogers head and masked down accessory from 20th Cap to give me the definitive Cap in my collection-at least for now. Lol. I am super happy the butterfly joints range of motion going backwards is so good again. It sucked on the classic Black Panther and even Amazing Fantasy #15 Spidey comparatively speaking.

When?

Gotta incentivize us to buy the inevitable Maximum Cap.

I have to say I am a little disappointed with the dearth of both images and feedback from those of you lucky sumbitches who have already received Shuma/Gargantos.
I'm stuck here not-so-patiently waiting for mine to ship from Deep Discount. And they keep pushing out his availability date.

Are his tentacles constructed from the same squishy material as Minimum Hulk?
Does his eye rotate in place or is it molded so there's always a tentacle directly below and above it?
Do the individual tentacles pivot/spin where they attach to the center body?
If you stare into his eye does he hypnotize you and then open a portal, transporting you to the dark dimension??

Come on, articulate thinkers; fill me in on the details and nitpicks already!

1- similar material to Hulk's torso, not actually as thick, def some air between the wire and soft plastic, like some Jurassic World toys
2- eyeball pivots under eyelids, eyelids do not rotate
3- individual tentacles can rotate where they're attached, think of BAF arms
4- typing this from the dark dimension

Just opened Juggernaut I received from Pulse. Heavy, solid toy. Wish he had more articulation range, especially in the legs. My biggest annoyance is that his hands and head pop off way too easily. I’ll try to force a pose, and his fist will go flying. He has some degree of improvement over the previous mold (BAF and 2pk) but this far out from those releases, the improvements should be much greater.

Had the same thing happen when I tried to return the GI Joe MMS and Hawk set ($15 + tax refund to keep). I wonder if they're getting hammered with returns with everything hitting at once. That's never happened to me before.

I just got Juggernaut in from Pulse. I'm so happy I decided to get this. This figure is BIG. I also happened to get X-men 97 Cable today, so I immediately put him up against Juggernaut, and Juggernaut is just so freaking huge compared to basic figures.

Of all the red plastic in the world, this is my favorite hunk of red plastic.
