Marvel Legends Gamerverse

For current stuff... wasn't there also a fairly recent Colossus figure based on the pre-Deadpool X-films? Didn't they do a Wolverine too? Was that a fever dream?

Hasbro has done:

Marvel Legends Icons 12” Colossus
Brood Queen Wave X3 Colossus (grey)
Brood Queen Wave X3 Colossus (silver)
X-men Origins Wolverine Colossus (Walmart 2-pack with Cyclops, but rerelease of the figure above)
Warlock Wave Colossus
AoA Colossus BaF
80th Juggernaut/Colossus 2 pack
Deadpool Movie Colossus

3.75”
X-Men Origins Wolverine shirtless AXM Colossus (came with an unmasked AXM Wolverine.
X-Men Origins Wolverine Colossus (classic)
Marvel Universe Astonishing Colossus
Marvel Universe Colossus (as Juggernaut)
Marvel’s Greatest Battles Colossus (vs Juggernaut, with comic colors)
Giant-Size X-Men 35th boxed set Colossus
Giant-Size X-Men 35th boxed set Colossus metallic costume variant.

And one 4” version for the Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon toyline.

Hey kids, remember when the Psylocke in 2018 came out and she had black hair instead of purple? Well, I found one of the GamerVerse 2 packs at Target today . . . and she had black hair too.

Now, I know what you're going to say:
a) That's not black, Rish, what's wrong with you?
b) They all look like that, you idget.
c) Pretty mediocre photographic fakery, you cut off your brother's hair!

To the first two, I say, well, no, I looked up the ones on eBay, and they all clearly have purple hair or purple highlights. To the third, I say, you gotta help me, Doc.

Of course, now that I've spent a half hour trying to figure out how to upload the photos, it might be purple after all.

Should just be black with purple highlighting. It's not going to be as purple as the uncanny three pack or the corrected 2018 Betsy.

I'm excited for Venom, but I hope his plastic isn't as rubbery as the Retro. I'm expecting to have to dremel his neck out again, and also hit him with Mr Super Clear. Made the Retro look twice as good. Actually that reminds me, I really hope he arrives before the weather gets cold.
Haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but Venom has a retooled torso with a hinge neck instead of the useless barbell from the Retro

That is great, that was probably the one main failing of the retro version. Also a little irritating they didn't get him right the first time.

If we are gonna actually debate the topic of hypothetical claws coming out of someones hand, how do they not just shred the fuck out of his skin and muscles, and fall out every time he hits something with just a little less give then paper mache? He would need some sort of plates on both sides of his hand to keep them from doing that, but that would still hurt and rip his skin up every time he tried to "make a door."
I can't imagine him "making a door" with his natural claws. I think of them as somewhat like the claws most reptiles and mammals have, but just a little bit tougher and more for puncture wounds than ripping since most animal claws often have sharp edges. So while he might use his adamantium claws to rip through anything he can only use the bone claws very selectively and deliberately just as animals with claws do lest they break.

And yes, discussing how his claws work is interesting. He's Wolverine, i.e. one of the five most popular superheroes ever created. Discussions like this are both inevitable and compelling if you enjoy the character. I don't debate almost anything, i.e. try to prove my position correct; I just discuss to learn out of curiosity. Most people don't split that hair, but for me it's a Grand Canyon's worth of space between debate and discussion.

In Wolverine #75 he explains to Jubilee that he pops his claws several times a day to keep the channels open. I guess to prevent any skin from growing back and to prevent any soar tissue from forming around the claws so that way he doesn’t do too much damage to himself every time. And the claws did break at least twice. But I think over time writers stopped addressing how delicate they were so they just hardened over time due to constant breakage and repair, as if his mutant healing abilities were trying to compensate for this weakness. But then less than two years later Wolverine would go back to having adamantium claws

While I love Wolverine, his claws have always grossed me out. Does he really rip his skin open from the inside every time they come out? Probably, but your post has given me a new head canon: his claws are kind of like a cat's. The skin flaps move aside when his claws come out.

True, I don't recall him using his bone claws to try and shred walls like his metal ones. But he has so much history, I know I missed alot of it lol.

I would imagine because his body can self heal instantly, yes he does indeed heal every time he retracts his claws. But that would also imply every time he unsheathes them he is ripping through muscle, tendons, cartilage, blood vessels, arteries, nerve endings, ligaments, joints and his skin. every part of the human anatomy that is in the way of those claws would have to punch through his arms and at a pretty rapid velocity, and whatever happens to be in the way is getting sliced and diced on the way out. It’s gnarly stuff but that’s our boy. He’s just a walking Mortal Kombat fatally….

The ports on the back of his hands in the comics have been described to hold his skin and flesh open to prevent them constantly ripping. But they changed that for the Fox X-Men films. Rogue asked him about it early in the first film:
