Pretty much the rest of the 2-packs have hit Hong Kong so they should all be on the water. We know War machine and Omega red drop on the 11th so maybe the same will be true for the remaining 2-packs. That just leaves Juggernaut and Shuma as the two outstanding pieces…

I guess both Venom heads have his crazy tongue sticking out. I didn't realize that until now.

I'm not opposed to it because when I think of Venom, I think of Spider-Man: The Animated Series, but I wish he came with a third head without it.

It would be nice if Venom came with an unmasked head and the overlay for the mask that matched his victory pose. But I was really hoping some tendrils and symbiote shields could be included. Also Venom is one of those figures in this lineup like cap, psylocke and wolverine who would really work as a 616 counterpart, depending on who you’re favorite artists were depending on that point in time. I know that in Venom’s case, pretty much every artist from Venom the Hunted up to The Finale limited series’ featured venom in a predominantly blue costume. So this could work fairly well in the Spidey display too. And that version of cap in that 2-pack looks like it’s straight out of the Heroes return era and was drawn by the likes of Ron Garney, Adam Kubert and Dan Jurgens. And Wolverine at least for me feels like a blend between the art styles of Arthur Adams, Adam Kubert and Leinil Francis Yu

I'm excited for Venom, but I hope his plastic isn't as rubbery as the Retro. I'm expecting to have to dremel his neck out again, and also hit him with Mr Super Clear. Made the Retro look twice as good. Actually that reminds me, I really hope he arrives before the weather gets cold.

I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that. As I said earlier, all of the remaining 2-packs just showed up in Hong Kong around Tuesday of this week and should subsequently be on the water if not already then very soon. And the War Machine vs Omega Red is due to arrive at Walmart by August 11th. That is remarkably fast. If they all hit the same day we should have these in our hands by mid-late August

I do like that Silver Samurai, but I just have zero desire for that Wolverine. So maybe I’ll be able to find one loose on eBay.

I'm doing the exact same thing unless people end up overpricing him on eBay (can't imagine that ever happening though ).

Quite the opposite; it gives him a matte finish. I do this for three reasons: it firms up the plastic a bit, protects the white paint, and personally I just like how it looks. I can see people wanting this character glossy, but this just looks more premium in person. Here's a quick pic for ya! And here's a link for it on Amazon.

If you do go for this, make sure to prep carefully and spray very thin layers. It's pretty easy to end up with a "foggy" look if you spray thick.

PS: I use this spray on just about every Hasbro human head and it's almost always a huge improvement. Makes their skin look more realistic.

Im definitely one of those people who prefer venom to be shiny. Venom wears an oily black living costume, it’s supposed to be shiny. If it’s just matte black it doesn’t really sell you on the fact that he’s wearing an alien entity. It just looks like cloth
