Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies and Streaming Series Discussion

FFS - I just realized - Pete and Matt already know each other!!! I COMPLETELY forgot I have an action figure from their scene!!!

Someone here had the idea, but I think it's time for Black Cat. Leave Zendaya and Ned out of this film (cameo if you must), but Felicia would be an element we haven't seen before and that would be great. Maybe she gets Peter tangled up in something illegal and hence needing a lawyer again.

I would also love to see Daredevil and She-Hulk together again and smashing things up with Spider-Man sounds like a lot of fun.

YES! Well... Peter knows Matt, but Matt no longer knows Peter.
it's time for Black Cat
YES! Having a character who is in love with Spider-Man but not Peter would be really interesting, and her criminal side would also give Peter some interesting things to work through.

I get this, and for the record I agree even though I enjoyed both characters. I would just like to give him at least ONE movie to be this version of Spider-Man before getting (most of) his support system back. That said though... I would not be at all shocked if Sony did Black Cat with this new version of MJ (new meaning after she's forgotten she knew Peter) taking on the persona. I don't even really hate the idea.

I would also love that. Hopefully by the end of Secret Wars at least.

You haven't been listing the 2/13/26 date, and rightfully so as it's been removed from Disney's schedule. Also 11/6/26 and 11/5/27 were originally held for "Untitled Marvel" but as per Variety, they have been changed to "Untitled Disney". You haven't been listing those either, so.... continue to do so.

The only other "Untitled Marvel" date I have still that you aren't using, and again... you're probably right not to, but 7/23/27 is apparently still on the schedule. It would make sense if that is Strange 3 or something, or some Battleworld-set movie. Or, probably won't get used at all.

This is a really important point. Falcon and Winter Soldier proved those two aren't really leading men in the MCU and really that should have been the story hinge of their show. Ruffalo has never been given a shot to be more than supporting (though I've never much cared for his acting, especially recently). Rudd is just fine when he's given jokes with weight - or an actual set. I'm hoping Simu is awesome in his next appearance. Hey Ken!

I'm real curious what the plan is for Brie and why no one seems to be able to harness her well (ironic given how much time this role lands her in a harness).

Letitia was perfect for Shuri as originally conceived - turning her into BP I think was a mistake. She was so serious and none of her spark was used in that costume. Granted, that was the third act of a very sad arc, so I'm hopeful they will let her be more herself next time out.

I never quite put my finger on it like this before, but I feel you on the "leading men" idea. It could just be because I didn't know the actors beforehand and they were introduced to me as sidekicks. It's possible I've just been conditioned to see them as secondary, but the end result is still the same. I think in Simu's case, I'm handicapped by never having really considered Shang Chi to be part of Marvel's superhero comics. I can't say I've ever read a single page of that character. So his movie, despite including Trevor Slattery, the post-credit Avengers, and the "do a backflip" guy on the bus, still somehow doesn't feel like it's part of the bigger MCU to me.

I thought I was a fan of Brie Larson, but man is her Captain Marvel flat. She's always been good in other things I saw her in, so I'm guessing she just didn't connect with the character or the direction she was given or something. I think "one of the guys - but not" is the best description of her. She definitely needed a trait other than "learn to control your emotions" when she never seems to show any emotions.

MCU-wise, Okoye becoming BP would have been awesome - and already set up. Though she did just start killing her own people on the whim of a just-showed-up literal killmonger in the first one, so... maybe Nakia.

My vote was always for Nakia. Lupita Nyong'o was a rising star at the time and certainly could've lead a movie. The character was already active as a defender of Wakanda, and she could've either have been said to have married T'challa OR they decide to separate the roll of the Black Panther from the throne itself. The only reason I wouldn't vote for Okoye is because she's such a great soldier. Obeying her king was her total thing. Now, if casting Nyong'o as the Black Panther freed up Shuri to be the one the Atlantians were after so we never had to involve Riri Williams, I'd consider that a bonus.

He press-ganged a young teen into a super-powered army by threatening his aunt.

Not sure where you're seeing aunt threatening, but I do agree that him drafting a literal child into his manhunt was a real character assassination moment. And it lead to Spider-Man becoming a mini-Iron Man with a high-tech suit and a talking AI in his head. So much wrong came from this decision when it would've been just as easy to have the airport battle take place in New York and have Spider-Man just show up and try to impress them.

Namora and Attuma
were apparently seen on set for Doomsday.
I read something yesterday that said
Domino
was also spotted. Then again, we all know how rampant rumors are during productions of big movies like this. I'm more likely to believe the 2 you mentioned. Will be nice to see them again if true.

And now
Banner
is rumored to be the MCU guest in the new Spider-Man movie.
OK! Now THAT is a live-action team up I have actually been waiting for since I was a tiny little dude!!! Bring it on!!

Oh nice, Jocasta! Also loved the actress in Fall of the House of Usher. Good choice.

I think the Vision series is the first MCU series I've looked forward to since She-Hulk
