HIYA TOYS Godzilla

You can't really plan anything based on BBTS release dates. They put up the expected date when they first list the item, but once that date arrives with no product, the system just auto-updates to the current month. I currently have EIGHT Hiya Godzilla figures on pre-order with them that claim a September release date, and I don't expect any of them to actually happen. At least four of them have been released in China, but I've only heard of a couple places in the US so far having gotten any of those yet. The Diamond bankruptcy and I assume tariffs have wreaked havoc with US distro on these. The next one I'm expecting is Shimo, who as been available at both GameStop and the official US Godzilla store recently and is thus hopefully going to be making its way to US specialty retailers in general sooner than later.

Yeah, I'm used to some stuff coming a month or two late if it's an import, just didn't realize these were on quite so long a delay. Ah well, saving a bit of money this month will be fine considering Hasbro goes the other way and stuff tends to come a month or two ahead of those projected dates.

Man, I love all these Hiya Godzilla figures. I've had to really cut back in my collecting, and thus haven't been able to buy any of these, but if my financial situation EVER improves, I'm going to have to plunk down some cash to at least get a few of these. I think these would easily replace most of my NECA and Monsterarts Godzilla figures.

I have about 10 preorders with Hiya that date back to early 2024 and pretty much all of them are for the Toho classics line. A 20 month long preorder window + delay is absurd.

Got the Processing email from BBTS for Shimo and '91 King Ghidorah. So glad to see these moving finally!

Shimo and '91 Ghidorah got added to my BBTS PoL today. Both are in stock now.

I assume they won't ask for a tariff charge until I ship my PoL?

No? I thought they made you pay that when you ordered? I don't think they're charging you if you had it ordered before all this went down...they tend to honor any lower prices that you pre-order something for before they raise it for whatever reason.

That could be, yeah. The pricing now is definitely higher than back when I ordered it, and it says "Includes tariff surcharge" now. So maybe they are intending to let my original price stand without one.

I think if they charge extra for tariffs, they do it whenever it hits your puke of loot.
