General Marvel Legends

I really want to be able to fill out a post Giant-Size/pre-Outback shelf. That was one of my favorite eras. We have most of the looks now but still lack a Rogue from then, yellow bodysuit Rachel (which will be an easy enough custom once her Excalibur version releases), and Kitty needs a darker, more punk look of the Shadowcat costume.

I'm still wanting the Rogue from around the Mutant Massacre era. That look with the black bodysuit and green top with studded belts.

Saw Weapon X Wolvie in Target. They had a slew of him. I left him. While the pinless limbs are better, no paint on the helmet and electronic gear on his waist when the original did is a big step the wrong way.

There seems to be paint on both the helmet and gear... more than the original release...

Does anybody else here go through this? I had not bought any Legends for quite awhile even though there are plenty I still wanted. I want all the Mini Comic figures so far that they have shown or released but only grabbed Rom and have wanted X-Factor Cyclops and Jean, etc. but just haven't pulled the trigger on any. Just kind of MEH. Still love Legends but putting money towards other figures lately. I get Maximum Spidey and Gamerverse Cap and Venom this past weekend at a toy show and love them so much that now all I can think about is I need to get caught up with what I haven't bought but want!

I was talking about the grey (metal) parts, not the yellow, red, etc. The grey on the new just looks like plastic. The original is painted.

I’ve had the same hesitation to pull the trigger on new purchases, but unlike you, I haven’t found that “Wow” item yet that’s making me want to jump back in.

For all of McFarlane’s faults (and there are many), he can throw a figure out there like Stephane Brown from Batgirls and get me all wound up again. To use an analogy, it’s like McFarlane is playing singles from Simple Mind’s entire catalogue while Marvel Legends keeps playing “Don’t You Forget About Me” over and over again.
