G.I. Joe Classified Series

Yeah, unfortunately all the Meijer, Target and Walmart stores near me removed their Joe shelf markers earlier this year. They still (sometimes) carry newer waves, but nothing to the extent that they did previously.
 
Hasbro product as a whole has been weird for me in Canada.

It's limited, shows up once, maybe a small refresh, and then it's gone. Not sure if all the stores are adjusting from overstock several years ago and we're just seeing the overcorrection now.
 
Now that I think about it, I don't think I've seen a Joe in Target other than Super 7 ReAction figures in a year or more.
 
Not to dig on Super7 but they really don't seem like a good match for Target. Expensive, simple figures, no kid is going to see that and want it, the fact that you can pick them up but the last mainline wave I've seen was Airborne/Big Boa wave is dumb. It's the kind of toy that turns off kids and parents alike.

The Walmarts around me all seemed to get a case of that wave toward the beginning of April. I grabbed a Leatherneck since I hadn't preordered him. Nothing since till the retro CC/Cobra trooper wave started popping up a few weeks ago.

Target seems to have given up on Joes altogether. The last figures I saw there, I'm pretty sure, were from the Big Boa wave.
 
Yeah, my Walmart definitely went heavy on the last wave of retro with the Cobra trooper... havent seen the Mindbender wave there yet. And Target near me still stocks the main line regularly but I didnt see the Leatherneck wave there. That one seems like an unintentional Amazon exclusive.

Yeah, 20 dollars for 5 POA when for six bucks more you get Classified gloriousness is wild to me. I did get a bunch of the Super7 ones when they were all 50-60 percent off, but those are under-10 dollar figures, quality wise, so for cheap, they're fun. Their Tiger Force Snake Eyes just made me wish Hasbro would make one in Classified though.
 
Yeah... I wish Tiger Force and Python Patrol were still going at Target.. I loved those sub-lines. but I guess TF Flint and Python Patrol Vypra killed the line dead.
 
I was hoping we'd at least get TF Lifeline and and Skystriker to complete the original crew, and the Super7 Snake Eyes, Duke, and Scarlett all looked really cool, color palette wise. I think we got everyone from the original 80s run of Python Patrol, but again, the S7 Destro, CC, and Baroness would be fun in Classified too I think. (Though my personal head canon is that Python Patrol is spectacularly incompetent and kind of a throwaway force for Cobra so having only the dregs be on that squad works for me. When you put a gambling addict swamp rat in charge...)
 
I wholeheartedly agree ACAB (my oldest brother is retired, so I can finally say that - plus, he can sometimes be a bastard), but I 100% would love uniformed cops - AS GOOD GUYS, hey, it's all fantasy, right? ninjas & robots & superheroes? - and I'd totally buy two of those Riot figures, but I definitely don't need a full squad, but as many male & female dress blues, why not?

Looking at the glamour shots a few pages back, and I just came up with a goal.
