G.I. Joe Classified Series: The Chatty Pointless Thread & Performance Art

I stumbled across a leaked render of Synapse. It should be pretty easy to find if you want to get a headstart.

The headsculpt is awesome, but I'm not sure how to feel about the rest of him. On the one hand, it's a little gaudy for my tastes, but on the other, if this is Headman's cyber-pimp, I'm immediately on board.
Check it out!

Just opened Dawn. Overall, a really well made figure - lots of new design elements, beautiful face sculps, nice array of gear but not too much. Only complaint is her belt likes to drift up her torso too much and her holster's just a little too big for her pistol. Also I never read the comics, but Dawn's supposed to be young, right? This face sculpt is a woman who's seen some shit. I think I prefer it to a younger face though, TBF.

The vest on rugged Duke (and elsewhere) bugs me irrationally. I can't help but think those are tactical kitchen scissors. They just stick out.
Okay real talk, what ARE those kitchen scissors? They're on SO MANY FIGURES. I can't not stare at them on my Monster Force figures. Are they really tactical scissors?

I guess I will wait to finish my lara croft custom till I see what Hasbro does with her. Maybe just give all my awesome gear to Lara. But I need to make sure i can get her too cause this Ninja Force shit is garbage. Figures are sold out before half the people can look for them. I don't wanna miss out on Lara too.

They are trauma shears/ Tuff Cuts.

Your KA-BAR can only take you so far, and sometimes scissors are speedier and more efficient. Getting your uni and armor off to treat wounds. Cutting through boots for the same.

In Iraq they used them for stripping the zip ties off supplies and enemy combatants.

Very important for paratrooping.

Click the link and you'll notice how it's angled and the blunt tip. Safer for handling and much better shearing power for things like wire and heavier duty shelter pieces that would ruin your blade.

I'm not sure why GI Joe started throwing this in, but they have also appeared in COD recently. You want to keep it on your chest so that you have immediate access in any situation where you might be entangled, especially if you're jumping.

A Google search seems that tactical scissors are a thing for EMT types. Why it wasn't on Doc or Lifeline though is perplexing.

@DarthDre758 did his more military looking version of Lifeline with them.
As @Alt said above, yes, trauma shears. They aren't only for medic types. A lot of SOF carry them, along with regular soldier types. They can be used for so much. I always like seeing more weird things like that included on chest rigs for these figures. I've seen combat tourniquets, glow sticks, and the Action Soldier diver has the built in floatation device on his gear.
