G.I. Joe Classified Series: The Chatty Pointless Thread & Performance Art

I’m feeling these guys as ancient, disentombed, “original” Night-Creepers who “earned” that name by being literal supernatural fiends. Crystal Ball has resurrected them when he discovered the secrets of “DIRE tech” (actually ancient necromantic sorcery that man was never meant to know). Who, or WHAT do they serve? What do they want?
. . . time will tell.

I'm sure you've seen Noises Off, but for anyone who hasn't, it's a farce about a stage performance with an outstanding comedic cast. But there is one scene where Christopher Reeves, as one of the actors, asks Michael Caine, the director, why his character takes the box with him up the stairs. And ultimately Caine gives him this in depth psychological and emotional explanation for Reeves to have in his head as he performs the scene, holding the box, and sometimes I feel like some of us are firmly Michael Caine in that scene every time we want a new Classified figure.

While trying to see which figure is which number for #207-211, I finally just googled it to see if anything came up. 207, nothing, but 208...

The "208" reference for G.I. Joe most commonly points to the popular community-driven G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #208 on the Articulated Thoughts forums, which focuses on the Red Torches (Red Shadows). [1]

For those of you excited for the Avalanche guy, I'm happy for you, but I was way more into this:

I dunno, I like the “aggressively NOT a combatant” vibe of the Avalanche Response guy. I totally get wanting an Arctic trooper, and I also want that, but this guy is basically a civilian rescue guy and that is super cool to me. I love that he’s colored to be spotted by evac rather than camouflaged for insertion, it’s a refreshing change of pace.

Yeah, I figured that was the major appeal for those of you ordering him. Well, I'm hoping for a repaint eventually. I know these Legacy guys use some parts from others already, and the new parts definitely get used elsewhere too. Probably looking at the basis for Blizzard or someone.

I will say that it does suck that the upcoming *actual* Joe arctic Trooper is locked in a three-pack with recolored Cobras. I like Arctic SAW-Viper and Drift-Viper, but I’d have army-built the Steel Corps.

Yeah, I am sorta planning on that set anyway, but as I told @DarthDre758 the Big Ben body they're using for that Steel Corps guy is so big that a lot of heads will look too small on him. Maybe Iceberg's body...

With any luck, Armada's second head fits on the retro Valkyrie heh.
I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t!!
Lots of exciting possibilities.

OH. And if the retro Valkyrie’s blues match Cadet Demming . . . shit, I’m gonna have to army build her.

ALSO: I noticed they opened that window on Armada’s upper chest so that even with the Death Angel mask on she can’t be whitewashed. That may not be the only reason they went that way, but it’s nice.

That one and the NF Scarlett second head are the ones I'm thinking about right now. Though I am also still looking for a way to use Dice's unmasked head too heh
