G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #122 - Night Creeper (EA Concept Art)

Day 114a - Torch - (Devil's Due) (1/4/26)

That's right, another DD design.

Burnout, yes.

DD Torch, meh.

I've met two types of bikers in my life. The "Let's go cause trouble for anyone who isn't us" type and the "Let's go cause trouble for anyone who stands in our way for delivering funds we raised for children's hospitals so all treatment is free. And a BBQ in the parking lot of the VFW, raffle tickets to win a $500 Harley Davidson gift card are available!"

Day 114b - Kaos - (Post-RAH) (1/4/26)

Final Dreadnok for the weekend ought to make someone very happy, and he's not super-Dreadnoky so maybe others will be into it too, but you can tell he's a Dreadnok because of the spelling. "Chay-ahs? No way, that's not my name!" Kinda brings to mind Mark Borchardt on American Movie insisted his film was 'Coe-vin' because he didn't want people thinking it was about "an oven of witches".

Ugh, who’s that guy???
🤪

Ha ha nah, of course I hardcore want this guy!! I’m actually *not* a Jason Voorhees fan (it’s my least favorite horror franchise, feel free to pillory me as you please), but I *do* like the heavy Mad Max vibes and I love masked villain characters. Keep the scary black eyes with white pupils please.

Fun fact: the “original” Kaos was just Shadow Tracker’s mask glued onto a generic head.

This is all just reinforcing my long-held belief that I only like Dreadnoks in theory, and conceptually. In reality, I fucking hate like all of their designs and clearly there's something I hate within their design language because I also tend to hate other peoples' versions of them. I think I just want them to be more military-biker and less biker-flavored Mad Max cosplayer.

Anyway.. no to all of this trash.

In fairness to diversity for a biker gang; Not all biker gangs are racist. As someone raised around a group of unaffiliated gentlemen motorcycle enthusiasts; it really does depend on a TON of factors like why the group was founded, who founded it, who they tend to interact with, where the group is primarily located, etc. Don't get me wrong, there aren't tons of super diverse biker gangs. But there aren't exactly too many diverse groups of anything. Much as it is a combination of sometimes distasteful and often disappointing, people do tend to 'stick to their own' even if they aren't openly racist.

So it's easy for me to see the 'noks being more diverse in their membership because their unifying ethos is more aligned to 'do crime, cause chaos, and party with sugar drinks' without some of the baggage we associate with other criminal (allegedly) groups.

Huh. OK, I totally get your aversion now.

Like, I definitely prefer the Mad Max stuff, but I’m also probably the one guy who wouldn’t care if the Joes/Classified was totally detached from any specific military stuff. Which is obviously paradoxical, but even as a kid I didn’t *need* the military angle and the Joes will basically always be “tactical superheroes” and Cobra “outlandish supervillains” to me.

Same. I actually finally realized I can get into Dreadnoks who are more Mad Max than bikers. If I think of them as SOA-substitutes then I'm not as into it, but Mad Max world? Okay, I can get into that.

Damn... so I feel like this guy is a really easy kitbash already.

As someone raised around a group of unaffiliated gentlemen motorcycle enthusiasts;
Hey, my dad is an unaffiliated gentleman motorcycle enthusiast! Half the times he almost died was on a motorcycle.

It's actually kind of crazy to me that half the times he almost died he was almost certainly wearing pants. So 50% of his near-death experiences occurred during the 6.5% of his lifespan when he was fully dressed. Math is so crazy.

I feel like... most if not all the times he almost died he was wearing pants, and maybe, at least in his head, that was the problem.

To be fair, there are "clubs of men who enjoy motorbikes" and "criminal gangs who ride motorbikes but are really hanging out together to do crimes" and the latter is probably more of the inspiration for the 'noks than the former, and those ones tend to be more... genetically insular.

I HATED the 'noks as a kid, I thought they were weird and gross, but these days they're probably my favorite villain subset because they're a mess and they've checked out from society and I feel like the best option we all have is to be weird and check out from society these days. I've gone from judging them to wanting to join them.

Kaos - eh, no memory of him, no desire for him, but I suspect, like Shadow Tracker, I could be wooed by a good redesign.
