And yet another base!

I like this one more than most, but still... c'mon. In Classified this would be the size of my bed and cost more than my entire Classified collection so far.

Actually looking at some 3D prints it isn't all that big. Sure it is still huge for an average room because 6" scale. However it isn't overwhelming to have set up.

No one has done a really good comparison photo set but the dimensions I have seen put it on par with the Ghost Haslab for footprint. Now, granted, the Ghost is a beast, but the TTBP would come in around that same foot print in Classified. Plus it would have the benefit of being a much more open option for displaying figures and vehicles. Both on the platform and below it.

So I could see it being feasible in Classified. Would they do it? Probably not because of cost. However I think it might be the best option out of the larger "bases" for ARAH. Clearly they can do the smaller sets like they are doing with the Bivouac.

I’m going to mention the idea of a modular linking design for this and other bases. It could be a more feasible way to do things like this.
Ideally, sure, I’d take it. Realistically, something this size, paying in one enormous purchase, I couldn’t do it.

Another candidate for a modular sold in pieces. I fuckin loved this base when I was a kid but yeah, too expensive and too big in Classified, but I would love to have the money and space for it.

One of my aunts took me out to help pick out presents for her nephew on her other side, and the battle platform was one I picked out for her. Then I got it for my bday that year from her, and another thing I'd picked for him at Christmas and finally grasped I had been shopping for myself, heh.

The problem with modular is that Hasbro would want uniformity so that they could sell multiple pieces without having to invest in new tooling. The TTBP, while fairly uniform at the base platform does have some variations throughout that would make it almost impossible to recreate.

Now of course if it was Classified they wouldn't be beholden to directly copying the old design and could offer up a newer design that is more uniform for modularity. Still it would be a tall ask to get something interesting in design without having some variations and changes to allow for things like the landing pad, ramp or control station.

Yeah. I actually find the disappointing thing about the two combat water closets is that there's nothing to tack onto them, really, and I'd love more modularity. Like if I could get the control center from the battle platform, or even the mobile base from yesterday, and drop it in with a few mix and match other pieces to build out a base for a display, I'd buy the hell out of it. But drop something the size of the battle platform into a Haslab and I have a heart attack.
