G.I. Joe Classified Beamish-Style Weekend Vehicle Poll - #87 - Transportable Tactical Battle Platform (RAH)

The original looked like a small makeshift headquarters. This one looks like a toy.
In the Marvel run, it was exactly that. In anticipation of a Cobra attack, they build a spartan facade HQ over the hydraulic lifts in their actual Pit base, and raised it into place as a false HQ to make Cobra think they destroyed the Joe’s HQ base. I’m not positive of the conceptual order but the comic version saw print before the toy was released.

And X-Box just laid off 1600 employees. I really hope they all log on at once and bring the network down. That'd be a hell of a protest.

Day 88 - Mobile Command Center (RAH) (7/11/26)

Time for another base!

Fawwwwk meeeee. I can't buy something this big. I won't buy something this big. But that fucking thing gave me SO MUCH GODDAMNED JOY as a kid. My brother and I basically LIVED in it. I couldn't justify the space it would take up, but it would BREAK MY HEART to not buy it.

I also had it and loved it. It was the colony on LV-426, it was Deepcore from the Abyss, it was the base with Serpentor held prisoner guarded by their three best guys, and ONLY those three. And Lt. Fuckaround. It was captured and recaptured so many times. And if they Haslabbed it, hell if I found someone with 3D printing files... I would also be heartbroken not to go for it.

Holy shit yes, it was the Nostromo, it was a space station, it was a subterranean base... EVERYTHING. The Rebel Alliance planned around that clear plastic data display. As a vehicle it's dumb as fuck, but as a playset it was unbeatable.

I like how Gung-ho is standing at attention in his dress blues in the middle of an all out attack in the third image. Way to pitch in Gung-ho. 😀

This would be a fun playset, but completely unaffordable at least on my budget. I really think modular linking sets would be the way to go to build something like this or the other playsets.

I never had the original and didn't spring for the reissue when it hit. I regret that now, but at Classisifed scale this would remain the one that got away.

That thing is dumb in the bad way instead of the fun way.
I remember my cousin had this and even as a kid I thought it was so stupid.

Will there still be a spot on it for Gung Ho to stand at attention in full service uniform while a battle i going on about 200 yard in front of him?
