Frazetta Girls ICON figures

The straight sword is WHY I went with the Asian exclusive.

Mine was delivered from 5K Toys yesterday, but haven't had a chance to open him yet.

I'd definitely go with the Asian exclusive if given a choice. I personally like the helmet and sword much better in that one.
I wish I had paid attention way back when they went up. I just preordered it right away from their site and didn’t even realize there had been an exclusive until recently. I would have loved to have gotten the straight sword.

Just got the Asia-exclusive Conan and man, I cannot stop messing with this figure. They did a BEAUTIFUL job with him, like a leap forward from the previous releases in every way (though I skipped the viking so maybe he was this good too?). Really glad I didn't skip this release. I do need to do a bit of heat work to get the dagger out of the sheath later but otherwise he's just fantastic.

Got a tracking number for Asian Conan, but based on the last order, that may be meaningless until I actually see some movement on the package. Coming from UPS.

I'm loving this guy.
It IS a leap forward since Darkwolf, and he was impressive.

I need to figure out how his sword sheath hangs on his belt though, I have the hook on the bottom hooked into the loop on his right side, but can't seem to find a way to attach the upper half. Part of the chain is currently looped over a tuft of fur on the top of his furry loin cloth.

I cannot math out how to hang the sword sheath either. Wish it came with suggested methods. I loved Darkwolf but this dude is a huge jump forward. I LOVE the weird shoulder pivot articulation, it's so smooth compared to bicep swivels.

Took me awhile to figure out it as well. In this picture, if you zoom in, it shows it just hooking on his belt.

Ooh Frazetta Girls is starting a 5.5” line like vintage MotU starting with Death Dealer, Conan, and John Carter! Launching in Fall.

I just received both the Asian exclusive Conan direct from FG, and the Darkwolf I impulsively bought with Amazon points.

Darkwolf got opened first. I know he’s supposed to go with Teegra, which I have, but they look like they’re from entirely different lines. Their sculpts seem so different. Teegra follows the smooth, nondescript style of the animation, while Darkwolf is far more detailed. I do love the skin tone and paints. The face options are solid. I generally default to gripping hands if he has weapons to hold. I’d have him handling more than the axe if he had a quiver for the arrows. Without that, I won’t bother with the bow or arrows.

Conan looks amazing. I like it a lot more than the Mezco One12 version. His double knee joints are a step up from the swivel hinges on DW’s knees. His weapon assortment is better too, with the dagger/sheathe, sword/sheathe, long and short axe, and shield. The shield is a bit of a problem, as the straps are very rigid and won’t let his arm all the way through to grip the handle. In fact, in attempting to force the arm through to reach the hand already gripping the handle, the handle snapped off. I don’t think the hand is meant to grip because it won’t reach. Maybe open fingers can slide through. That was a bummer. Also I don't love how that sword sheathe has only a chain. I had to thread that through his belt to keep it on his person. That meant detaching the chain from the sheathe. The dagger sheathe has a hook on it that attaches to the belt, which I expected for the sword sheathe. Aside from those minor gripes, the figure overall is incredible.

So glad you finally got a Conan, Norm! Sorry about the shield- might be worth reaching back out to FG's CS. I use the open hand with my shield arm.

I really like Darkwolf but boy he suffers a bit in comparison to Conan. Conan's got that matte look, more depth to his skin tones, all those really detailed scars, and his face just tells a story. I do love Darkwolf but I'm kinda fretting that he'll look a little sad as other characters from the film are released who look even better.

Don't know if this is the way the sheath is SUPPOSED to attach, but it's the most stable & aesthetically pleasing way I could come up with. I looped the loose end of the chain up through the back side of his belt, flipped it back downward over the outside & hooked it to itself. It was pretty fiddly to get into position, but once I got it, it felt pretty stable & looks better than just hooking the loop onto the top of the belt, IMO

These are really a weird scale. They certainly are too big for a true 1/12 and even too big for the "heroic" 1/12 of ML. But they are too small for the 1/10 7" McFarlane or NECA scale. I suppose they are a true 1/11 scale!
