Frazetta Girls ICON figures

I'm amazed at how much my interest in the line cooled with breaking Teegra last night. Like I actually feel bad because my interactions with Frazetta GIrls has been so great but man, that leg snapped and my heart broke.

No doubt. I feel like all of them are too fragile any time I pose. Not like they really have the range anyway. Even the accessories feel delicate. I know they're showpieces, but I can't even hit the poses from the art?

Feel like articulation is my new rallying cry for justifying my cut backs. Otherwise as these prices creep up I may as well just get maquettes or even 1/6 stuff.

I hope that Teegra situation gets rectified for you, @docsilence. I have her too, but I rarely handle her because she feels so fragile. The other figures from that line don't feel AS fragile, but I still handle with as much care as I can muster.

I have Teegra and Darkwolf, but passed on Nekron because I don't have room for that big throne. I'd call it done on Larn.

I'm almost definitely in for that John Carter figure, and Dejah Thoris if and when she's available.

At this point, I don't have any of the Frazetta Girls figures. Almost got their Conan, but opted to wait for the Icon Collectibles one instead. Have their been breakage issues with that one, or is it a problem primarily with their female figures?

Yep; mine did too. 3 seconds after being out of package on my first attempt to pose her. I messaged them and said maybe you have a spare right leg; I customize I can get it on her. Silence.

Not happy it broke, but glad I'm not the only one so I know it wasn't just me being sloppy. I sent a message about spare parts last night but I imagine they don't have anything left. I was just slightly articulating the knee and it snapped like a twig. No resistance at all. Conan has a completely different knee structure but short of just glueing the leg on straight at the knee, she's pretty much unfixable. Better off buying one of those blank bucks and doing my own custom.

The thing for me here is that I keep looking at this line because I love me some naked muscle men and I really love Frazetta's work AND the specific characters he painted, in the case of John Carter or Conan. But whenever I see the actual figures I'm just like.... whelmed. They remind me of why I hated DST figures; everything about the way they're sculpted/designed makes them look very stiff and lifeless. Whereas a Savage Crucible Warrior figure looks and feels like a toy that wants to move around and be posed and be -exciting- on a shelf, the FrazettaGirls stuff looks stiff and like it doesn't move well and doesn't want to move well and exists more so you can look at it and say 'look how detailed the veiny arms are.'

So every time I almost buy one... I just don't. I don't think I'd enjoy them.
