Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

Let's all agree to vote with our wallets here. It's the only way to stop them from blind-boxing everything.

The number of 4H ladies with bare feet... I'm not willing to rule out fetishization. In fact, I think it's more likely than not.
I don't even like buying blind boxes of DnD minis or heroclix. No way I'm blind boxing premium-priced action figures.

Not that I'll ever not find it funny to point out when an artistic team has a foot fetish, but I could swear they only have two barefoot female bucks and they have the same bare feet mirrored in male (IIRC there's this same female body with bare feet, Xmas Past/the Nymph/the Zombie and then the orc queen which got reused once in the video game figure; and the barefoot male gladiator and barefoot male orc... unless we also count bare skeleton and demonic/monstrous feet.)

I'm all for pointing out when people are being weird but I really honestly think it's just overusing the same couple of parts. They haven't even shaken up the head sculpts to go with it. It strikes me more of milking the same parts to death than a fetish.

(Feels weird defending them but as someone who actively HATES FEET I feel like it would've jumped out at me as gross sooner.)

Not buying $50-ish dollar "Punk Zombies." I don't know why 4H aren't capitalizing on making a skeleton that emulates the Social Distortion logo (without infringing) or something Oingo Boingo-adjacent. Even Day of the Dead painted skulls for skeletons would be an easy sell.

These just look like "Thriller" background figures for a Michael Jackson figure we don't have. Maybe a Captain EO knockoff is possible for the Cosmic line...

Great for those who want them, but fortunately I have no need for sherbet-colored skeletons either. Saves my ailing wallet.

I just wanted to jump in and also voice my displeasure for blind boxed figures. There are so many figures out there I would have bought if not for the blind box aspect.

It's clear that we aren't blind box collectors, but blind boxes are the absolute hottest selling toy market at the moment. The global action figure market is somewhere around $7.5 billion, whereas the global blind box market is something like $24 billion. I understand the Horsemen wanting to get a piece of that action while the market is hot, but the price point just feels too high to gamble on blind boxes.

The zombies do nothing for me. They aren't bad, but they're not my style.

Only a sliver of interest in those skeletons. When the get discounted to $10 I might get a set.
Don't want to like the zombies, but I do. The male zombie looks much better than the female. I'm down for a set of the clothes too.

Thus far I remain firm in my "who the #$&! would this whole process appeal to other than someone with a dormant form of codependency and gambling addiction" appraisal of labubu's. The whole "blind box" model doesn't compel me unless it's some $5 trinket toy like the TMNT blindboxes and you've got $200 to burn trying to get the ones you want like they're trading cards.

It clearly appeals to a shit ton of folks out there but man, I don't even like buying blind boxes for Lego figures or, like, little DC Comics keychains I picked up at NYCC a few years back. But then again my addictive personality has one demand on it and it's that I actually get what I'm paying for. Am I sweating bullets over a couple of preorders today? YEP. Would I pay more to get exactly what I want? Yep! Will I be tempted to chance my arm on something as expensive as an action figure? Nope. I'd rather pay 30% more to be certain I get what I want than rolling the dice. I'm also MISERABLE in Vegas, so I guess that tracks.

So even as I defend 4H as not being creepy about feet, I will once again acknowledge that 4H will try to get in on any weird trend they can to sell their stuff (a la a TTRPG and a video game). They've never met a business idea they won't take a flyer on. I'm just glad it's on neon skeletons and not the build your own gladiator thing they're working on, though I could see people losing their homes trying to buy THAT as a blind box.

Remember when Mezco did their blind box thing earlier this year? That sold out before I had a chance to open my browser.
I'd be willing and excited to participate in a blind box scheme, if I had any interest what was being offered. There is a 100% chance that I will get something I don't really want.

Blind boxes. Back when Mega Construx was still doing blind bags, they at least had codes on them. Or you could feel an accessory and deduce the identity of the figure. Same with Lego. At least there's an app you can use to determine the identity of the new carded Lego ones. Reaction blind boxes? I've deduced a couple of them via weight or sound. But overall, blind boxes are just terrible. I won't play the game. If you want something specific, it's best to just pay extra and get that specific character off ebay or Aliexpress.

I need you guys to not judge me for this, but I pre-ordered Otho. Just had to. The color scheme, the swords; he just looks really nice and I feel like I gotta try a current-gen 4H figure despite my problems with them as a company and their previous products.
I feel like Judge Doom looking at one of the weasels right now.
