General Marvel Legends

You being a customizer back in the day on the FWOOSH know more about bodies and such so I will take you word on it. It just looks real similar to that body. The hand shapes, upper arm sculpt. the bald head without the hair on top because I took the helmet off one of mine and that head sculpt looks real similar. The big kicker the ML team not mentioning anything about being on a new body. Furthermore we don't need another oversize Thor. Thor should be in-scale with the new body Thor figures we have now.

I'm pretty sure they said during the stream that he was all new except maybe the hands... didn't they?

I just watched again twice the segment with Thor and Dwight said Thor himself has a lot of new updates as well, he comes with stuff. Plus Dwight says it's one of those ones that I didn't realize I needed an update to. He was the figure that we used back in 2012 for the RML.

I think you are misinterpreting that last sentence. He's saying he thought the RML figure was good enough it didn't need to be revisited. But this figure made him come around.

Its not the same figure

I'm going to keep tuned on Dan's X to see if anyone asks. I would think if it was a new body they would have mentioned something.

I'm sure the manhole cover comes with the rumored/leaked Mole Man and the Moloids, but then there's this, and it seems right up Hasbro's alley as well
Trading card/game card? Check
1990s? Check
Updated character, probably on the super articulated Widow body which would save a lot of budget money? Check

Today is the first day, maybe ever, that I've begrudged the leakers. Magik and Coipel Thor were the #1 and #3 figures on my personal top 10 list. This is about as good a day as I can have in this hobby, but if I didn't have any inkling that they were coming, I'd be euphoric.

It's those two and Archangel for me. I don't think Warren is that big of an upgrade, but I'll be happy to replace every figure in my collection on the Bucky Cap body. Hopefully those wings are lighter than the behemoths on the old deluxe figure. They weigh that figure down. It's a bad combination with Bucky Cap's wobbly knees.

I really like that new Daredevil body, too. Once they finally release a single-carded DD in his classic red costume, I'll probably bite. I don't think it'll usurp the MAFEX figure in my collection, but it might become the first figure I've ever brought to work. That's as good as an excuse as any to double up on a favorite character in a favorite costume.

As an aside, I can't say I understand Hasbro's strategy with Daredevil. Give the people what they want already.

It's 100% a new body.

I wasn’t a big fan of the Crossing storyline, but I did like the costumes, so I’m in for Black Widow and Quicksilver, but I’m going to play the long game on that one. I hope we’re still getting the leaked Vision and Scarlet Witch in those costumes as well.
Biggest disappointment for me was when I realized that he's supposed to have alternate colored gloves and feet, he's supposed to have a white glove on the blue arm and a similar for the feet. I think I might've preferred a dark grey or black over the navy, but he was depicted as both so I wont complain too much about that. Now I have to source a white glove cuff to swap onto him.

As for the opposition to having knife/running hands included, who would be against extra hands? We can barely get them to give us complete sets anymore as it is. That's right I'm looking at you Rachel Summers Phoenix.

Could be the underside of a sewer plate maybe? Looks like it could plug into something though.. Hard guess when we don't know how big it is.. Wish Dwight had something in there for size reference.

Ooooh. That’s a really good shout, and I’m totally on board with it. I’m kitbashing a street diorama at the moment, and a manhole cover would fit in nicely. Extra bonus points if it comes with Mole Man…

90s Quicksilver's was very inconsistent on the mismatched gloves/feet - if you look at his solo series it's matching blues across the board. Even in this one cover image, all of the background images show the gloves as matching:

They're labeling this as a "The Crossing" set, though:

I liked the solo series back in the day and The Crossing is hot garbage, so I'm cool with it. It would have been better to have options, though, especially in a set that's so light on accessories. An extra white glove cuff and a few extra white right hands would have given us both options.

I'm with Resilient. I was a very successful track competitor almost all of my school days (still run today) and I never ran with fists or flat hands. Always seemed like just a waste of energy not having the hands in a natural "C-grip." The idea being all of your muscles that aren't being used for a specific momentary purpose should be relaxed to focus on the prime movers and in my mind Pietro would know that.

That said, a flat hand at Quickies speed should be great for slicing objects (like buttah) as opposed to demolishing them on impact in our imaginary, comic-book science when using a fist. So, for me, C-grip should be standard--after all he does often carry objects as well--and either other hand type should be secondary.

Glad for those who like it - I hate the symbiote paint app on a regular Spider-Man. Not sure why they used that body either since the fully black suit Secret Wars figure was on the AF15 body. That one is a big disappointment.

Everything else is pretty awesome. Absorbing Man, Falcon and Constrictor are massive upgrades for some figures I don't love in my display. I get the DD deco is to match the old figure. Not really a fan of the black details and the random line down the front of the boot. Magik is really nice.

Happy to get an updated Archangel and phase out the Bucky bodies. Bullseye and Muse look great but now I want a modern combat pants Daredevil to go along with them. The 90s Avengers are neat I suppose - I wonder if they are going to tackle any other specific looks from that time/story or this is a random one-off set of easy repaints.

Thor is incredible. Wired cloth capes is a gamechanger. Get a new Astonishing Emma out with a wired cape ASAP.

@TFitz - That will also depend on the neck connection. Remember, Hasbro Sasquatch's neck is one piece with his head, pegging into the torso.
Already considered that. I have a spare Sasquatch torso. Planning on cutting out the sunken joint and inserting it into LC's body. His hair cover pieces should hide that perfectly. Really hoping the colors match as good as they seem to.

Uh, planned obscolesence without actual obscolescence? This is the perfect excuse to use this mold in the deco the vintage secret wars figure came in with literaly the same style packaging. Then there can be an all red figure with no color differentiation, like the bullseye Elektra 3 pack, (Where the hell is the RED version of that Elektra by the way?- Of Course! as a 2 or more pack with another Daredevil on this new buck) Red daredevil with light red boots like Hobgoblin wave bucky cap, a red version with darker boots like the Amazon defenders box set, The 2 pack Cell shaded versionHydroman set, and whatever else they can get people to buy.

If they give you what you or others want now, there is less of a chance that people will buy any of these other place holders.

With Daredevil also currently in full swing in the MCU, there is lots of free publicity to push awareness of the character to justify a bazillion less demanded varriants before the figure most people would be fine with owning.
