Operation Monster Force

Hmm. googled the character and not a robot head in sight. I guess I'll take your word for it.

OK.. but if he doesn't sport a robot skull and wears a totally different style outfit - then it might be a story homage to the character, but it is not a visual homage, and not a way to construct your own version of the character the way Wave 1 releases were.

Yeah, that wave 2 seems to play things much more safe for original characters or characters in public domain. Especially since there's no Goregills. I'd say they'll still come eventually, this is just FMF we're talking about here.

I'm curious if Blitzkreig will just be the not-Jackyl not-Destro head on a standard Crimson Moon body. I'd like to see one of them in a red suit with the long coat on the bottom. Seems like a combo that hasn't been done yet.

Can't wait for the essay.

I don't even know if I have the energy. I'm so disappointed after all the praise this line has gotten.

I opened him up and he just kind of exploded in my hands (prior to trying to do anything with him). His upper torso was completely disconnected from his lower torso in the package, so he split in half when I took him out. That would not go back together securely at the time, so I set it aside to figure out and figured I'd at least try all the joints first. Arms were all completely frozen. Moving the head AT ALL causes the neck to pop right out of the upper torso and actually ripped off the glued down 'collar' piece with it.

And the ankle rocker on his left side is so loose that if you hold the foot, even just the weight of the disembodied legs causes the legs to flop over.

I heated everything up to try to pop it all together better - assuming it just wasn't done very well at the factory. In trying to force the torso pieces together, his belt buckle flew off (I did not lose it) AND, even seated in there, the torso will basically blow apart if I try to use the articulation more than a few degrees, if that.
Same for the head - almost any use of the head articulation causes the neck to just... fall out of the torso.

Like.. it's just a really fucking shitty toy. It's together on the shelf now and it looks fantastic. But I basically never want to even touch the stupid fucking thing ever again and that is just so massively disappointing.

You got it from BBTS, right? I'd contact them with some pictures of the figure blown apart and ask for a replacement.

It sounds like got a fluke junk figure. I don't have this one, but the few I do have weren't THAT bad.

That's just the chase figure. The doctor with the disembodied brain also has a disembodied body.

While I like the figure, it is pretty sparse for what you get. Basically the same hands as the Eraser but painted different. The suitcase is cool, the gun and brittle electricity coming off of it are whatever. He's basically just a weirdo Kreiger-type character from Hellboy. Looks good and weird on a shelf. I haven't played with him much. There's a few others from the line I've considered, but there's a lot more stuff I'm excited about than these.

All mine's joints were super stiff so even with heat I got to play "Moment of Truth: Will It Break" hearing each one crack free.

I haven't had a single issue with any of the O:MF figures I've opened so far (I think its 8 to date) - but I haven't opened Caligari yet, so maybe it's that figure, or maybe you got a bad one... its a bummer tho - because so far I've been highly satisfied with the line.

I think Caligari shares a body with the Crimson Moon not-Destro, so hoping it isn't a fundamental issue with the body.

I haven't had an OMF figure explode on me yet, including Caligari, but I will admit that the type of plastic they use just has a kind of... hand feel that makes me think I will not be shocked if and one does just blow up on me. I'm really hitting a point in collecting where the question I want to ask before I buy is "does it feel like if it took a nose dive off a shelf it'd survive the drop?"
