Ghostbusters General Thread

Were you able to remember where you live, or are you just gonna have to hope you did it right back then?
 
But do you wipe your own ass? That's the most important big boy question.

Man, am I bummed I missed out on the Ecto. Ghostbusters just wasn't on my collecting radar at the time, as the wife and I were trying to buy e-bikes (if anyone has one, a GOOD one, you know how expensive those are. Now do that times two--couldn't possibly go in on the Ecto), so I missed the window.

I'll have to live vicariously through you all.
 
I made my peace with not having the Ecto because none of the Ghostbusters I had or planned to have were in the same scale as it. I still hold out hope that someday Tomy will do a Kickstarter for a 1/10 Ecto like they did for the DeLorean and are currently doing for KITT.
 
I opened Mondo Venkman yesterday. Surprised by how big and empty the package is, but I guess they just reuse the same package design whether you're getting the big ghost or not. So much wasted space.

But Venkman himself is utter perfection. Smooth, buttery joints. Soft PVC plastic. Great accessories. I'm out of room so I've got him blasting a neutrona beam from atop the NECA Turtle Van, and he blends in seamlessly with that collection. I CANNOT WAIT for the next three!
 
He should have his own box that resembles a trap. The set with Samhain looks like the Firehouse. Mondo might just like their big boxes.

That’s insane to me. The box is soooo big, and pretty much empty. They could have fit what was actually included in a box a quarter of the size.

Why is it such a big fucking ask for 6" fucking figures!?

Hasbro didn't fucking do it.

Mondo is advertising them as such, but they fucking aren't.

At least they're not as egregiously large as Storm's "1:12" horseshit (not counting Arena, that they had to make a whole new line to specify "ACTUALLY 1:12").

I JUST FUCKING WANT FUCKING SIX FUCKING INCH FUCKING GHOSTBUSTERS. JESUS FUCKING GODDAMNED CHRIST.

The plastic packaging within runs so deep too in the box, I've contemplated cutting down the plastic and I think I can fit Egon in Peter's packaging as well and just toss at least 2 of these boxes when they arrive, just keeping the 4 down to 2 boxes for space/storage. Sure the boxes look nice, but I don't need 4 of the same one.
